Reviews
A fresh sour dough bread loft with roasted garlic and fresh butter. The bread was very fresh with garlic was absolutely delicious.
Ordered horseradish encrusted salmon and Blackened Cajun Mahi Mahi. It hard to describe in words the amazing flavors, rich, fresh and perfectly prepared. The mashed potatoes with the salmon complimented perfectly. The Cajun sauce with the mahi mahi worked perfectly with the Blackened slices. The roasted tomato was unique and delicious. Had to try dessert and that was Creme Brule caramelized so perfect! The wine list was small but very good selections to choose the perfect compliment. When we left we where again greeted by the chef and thanked us for choosing to dine at Duck City Bistro. Truly a unique dining experience. 5 stars does not do justice. This is a must and will be a regular stop for us.
The chef was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain each feature of the menu, which was a nice personal touch. It was clear that they put a lot of thought and care into every dish. Our server was equally impressive, attentive, friendly, and very thorough in explaining the menu and wine pairings.
As for the food…WOW! We started with a couple of appetizers, the crab cakes were perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, while the escargot was a decadent treat that we couldn’t get enough of. Then came the Delmonico steak, absolutely insane. It was cooked to perfection, tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. And let’s not forget the desserts, they were a sweet finish to an unforgettable meal.
Every aspect of the experience at Duck City Bistro was top-notch. If you’re looking for a place that delivers amazing food, impeccable service, and a vibe that makes you feel right at home, this is it. Highly recommend!
Duck City Bistro is Davenport’s Crown Jewel
Duck City Bistro absolutely dazzled us. From the moment we stepped inside, the service, the ambiance, and the entire experience felt nothing short of luxurious. The staff delivered impeccable, white-glove treatment with genuine warmth- attentive without being intrusive, polished without feeling pretentious.
The food? Spectacular. Every dish was crafted with artistry and intention, bursting with flavor and presented beautifully. It’s the kind of culinary experience that lingers with you long after the last bite.
The vibe is chic, intimate, and effortlessly glamorous. The perfect setting for a celebratory night. We were there for our friend’s birthday, and the team made her feel like absolute royalty. Their attention to detail and thoughtful touches transformed the evening into something truly unforgettable.
If you want an elevated, memorable dining experience in Davenport, Duck City Bistro is the place. Pure magic from start to finish. ✨
I have worked in the restaurant for over 20 years and have high expectations. So, to find a restaurant that checks all my boxes is amazing. My husband and I accidentally stumbled across this exceptional restaurant. The introduction was so fun. The food was amazing. The presentation was exceptional. And I truly can not rave enough about the service. The verbiage that was used was so professional. Unfortunately I feel customer service is lacking now a days and this place has it all. Can’t wait to go back.
The shrimp cocktail and table bread (served with confit garlic) were really great. We also enjoyed the spinach salad and garlic salad, though both agreed that the vinaigrette on the spinach salad was excellent. We ordered the lamb, the filet mignon, and the fries, which are fried in duck fat and delicious, all together. The portions were huge, and we had not realized the entrees came with a side already (mashed potatoes & veggies). Although the sides are perhaps not clear from the menu, it should have been clear to us from the examples the chef showed us, so that oversight is definitely on us.
Overall the food was good, although I did think the sauces could have had more depth of flavor. Even adding some caramelized garlic or onion would have made a huge difference. The bernaise that came with the fries was odd, (thick almost like a seasoned butter) and looked broken. The carrot cake was good, and a regular size, although it appeared small in comparison to the rest of the menu portions.
The servers learn your name and talk to you as a person, not just another customer.
The food was excellent and you taste the care, it wasnt just something thrown in front of you, but an experience.
Like your favorite food from a living family member!
