This is BY FAR the best Jamaican food I’ve had. Everything was seasoned perfectly, not too spicy, or salty, or too rich or anything. The flavors in the dishes I tried were perfected in a way that I doubt you could improve on them. They were just so good! They have a good selection of vegetarian options, which is what I tried. Nothing disappointed. It’s honestly hard choosing a favorite dish because everything was just soooo good. The waiters were so friendly and helpful. Really sweet people. If there was one thing I would change, I personally would prefer a lower volume on the music playing inside, as it was loud to me, and distracting. But that doesn’t diminish from the wonderful experience we had dining there. You will NOT be disappointed by choosing this place as your next meal.

Fiiiiire!!! Just tried this place for the first time and it was amazing. My friend got the Ital plate shared it with me. He substituted the rice for more cabbage, so it usually looks a bit different than this pic. Great service, great food and drinks, and great vibes. I highly recommend giving them a try! You won’t be disappointed.

This restaurant we found on Google, my cousin wanted to try some Jamaican food. I searched this one and I said let’s give it a shot, first off. The people were really nice and accommodating. It was my first time trying it. I asked what they recommended and I referred to a few pictures on reviews. My plate was beautiful, and very full. This plate was big enough to feed at least two people maybe even three. The church chicken was delicious, the oxtails were delicious. It was my first time trying them. I love them! I enjoy the rice and peas And cabbage. I was able to eat a quarter of the plate. I brought it home and I still have enough to feed two people on this plate. Thank you to the team the food was cooked beautifully. I will be saving this as one of my favorite restaurants.

I enjoy several of the dishes at this Jamaican restaurant. The food is very tasty properly marinated. My favorite is oxtail with white rice, plantains and vegetables and my second favorite is curry goat with rice and peas, green bananas, and vegetables. They cater to vegetarians as well. they have a healthy menu, a healthy meal that Will fit the budget of a family and you should try their patty. It is the most delicious pastry I have ever tasted. I would definitely recommend anyone to go and try your meals. The staff are friendly the places clean very nice ambience of music. I would definitely encourage anyone or everyone to visit this Jamaican restaurant.

It all starts with the people. We have always had excellent service at Dub Plate. The people are kind and make great suggestions if you are unsure. Their vegan options are delicious, and the meat options, too. Their meat options are so good, in fact, that some of us non-meat eaters love them!

My family had such a nice time here! The food was delicious, they had three different sizes for the entrees so you can choose your portion size. We are vegetarian and they had an awesome variety of tasty options. I don’t handle spice very well, and though the food did have some spice, it wasn’t overdone and I was able to enjoy my food. Everyone was so friendly and kind. The food was made to order which took a bit longer than fast food, but was well worth the wait! We are only passing through but we sure wish we could take this restaurant back home with us. I think we tried all of the vegetarian options and we had a hard time deciding which was our favorite, they were all just so good.

Please please PLEASE support this business!! This is the best place to eat in Sacramento hands down man. The oxtail, the jerk chicken, the fried chicken, the beef patties the chicken patties (ask them for a side of oxtail gravy to dip them in), the mac and cheese it’s all hot fire man. I’m serious we gotta support local family owned businesses like this before these corporations run em over. You will not be disappointed with the food here I promise you I drive 40 minutes each way from Folsom just to feel sumn

Have em cater your event or go in for lunch or dinner whatever just do it and thank me later.

If you’re craving real Jamaican food in Sacramento, Dubplate Kitchen in Arden Arcade is where the magic happens. This spot isn’t just good—it’s straight fire. From the moment you walk in, the aroma hits you like a wave of island flavor. You know you’re in for something serious.

Let’s get right into the heavy hitters:

The Jerk Chicken—hands-down, one of the best in the city. The spice level is dialed in perfectly—just enough heat to wake up your senses, but not so much it overpowers the deep, smoky, well-marinated flavor. Every bite is juicy, tender, and packed with that signature jerk punch. You can tell this isn’t some watered-down version—this is authentic Jamaican soul food.

Now, if you’re into rich, comforting curries, do not sleep on the Goat Curry. It’s bold, meaty, and beautifully seasoned—slow-cooked to that fall-off-the-bone texture with spices that cling to every bite. The kind of dish that makes you close your eyes while eating and just vibe with the flavor.

The portions? Generous. The staff? Warm and welcoming. The vibe? Chill but full of character, just like the food. Whether you’re a longtime Jamaican food lover or trying it for the first time, Dubplate Kitchen delivers a culinary experience you won’t forget.

This isn’t just dinner. It’s a destination.

Dive bar style eatery with good food, bad ambiance, and great service. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good size portions. The curry chicken Jamaican patties were very good as was the brown stew chicken. Our first time having Jamaican food, so can’t say how it stacks up to other Jamaican places, but we enjoyed it.
