Holy cow was that great pizza! Some of the best pizza I have ever eaten. Dough was delicious, chewy (in a great way) yet firm. Sauce was outstanding. Can’t believe how good it was!
I was in from out of town and called for help with the menu (not sure what “double crust” meant). Guy who helped me was patient and explained everything; no rush to get my order and get me off the phone.
The best thing was the delivery was fast and they wrapped the pizza in like a wax paper bag and THEN put it in the cardboard pizza box. It arrived super hot and delicious!

Great local spot. Remodel finished in 2025. Located at a busy intersection but good parking! Paper double sided menu that is different than if you went to a Duane’s inside a local bar. The menu was more like a fast food menu. Cheaper too! Food was excellent! Fries done perfectly!

Best pizza in FM. Only go to University location. 2 other bars serve Duanes pizza but the quality is not good there.

The pizza is actually really good. Fresh sauce, abundant cheese. It’s literally everything else that’s the problem.

Start with the price, they are…I’ll be nice and call them high. $35 for one large cheese cauliflower crust pizza after tip and credit card fees (come on, you can’t double dip on charging premium prices and make the customer subsidize the fees…) is bananas. Next is the preparation, as others have pointed out in their reviews, it could use some work from a quality and cleanliness point of view. They have a “pie cut” option on the menu, which I select every time and have never once received. Lastly, the bags. For goodness sake pizza should not be transported in a bag. I get that it’s cheaper than a box, but again, you’re already double dipping on price and fees, at least spend the extra pennies on boxes. You can’t stack more than one on top of each other and when you get home, you have to navigate this gross greasy bag with cheese stuck to it and rearrange your pizza after toppings are sliding all over the place inside a bag.

This place has a cult following and from taste alone, I get it. But after numerous orders, it’s all the other stuff that makes me choose other places and at this point, with more and more competition, Duane’s is becoming a place I’ll get maybe once a year.

Went in for 2-Lg pizzas before noon.
I had received a gift certificate from one of my snow removal clients. I went in before it was busy on a Thursday around 11:45am. Ordered my pizzas. I sat where I could see the kitchen and cooks. I watched a cook with gloves on dip raw chicken into the fryer. Then, this cook walks over to start cutting pizzas without changing his gloves after reaching into a raw chicken container. He didn’t even change his gloves before grabbing the raw chicken. Then, after waiting for 30 minutes, the same cook grabs my pizzas off from on top of the ovens, and bring my pizzas out, problem was, they were sitting up there for around 12-15 minutes. I haven’t been more upset in a long time, very unprofessional! I will never go here again, it’s just not tye same anymore!

Duane’s House of Pizza is the real deal — the original location and home to the best-tasting pizza in town. The flavor is unmatched, and you can tell it’s made with care and tradition. The service is always friendly and fast, and it’s the kind of place where you create memories over the years. If you want the true taste of local pizza done right, Duane’s is it!

Went out with a couple friends last weekend and ended up trying this restaurant for dinner. The place had a nice cozy vibe and the staff were super friendly without being pushy. I ordered the grilled salmon and it came out perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of seasoning. My friend got the burger and said it was really good too. Prices were fair for the quality, and the food didn’t take long to arrive. Overall, a good experience and I’d come back again if I’m in the area.

I was afraid the quality would change with the new location, and unfortunately it has. I ordered the “Sunday Special” – 2 large one- topping pizzas for $35. One of the pizzas was OK – about a 7 out of 10… the other one had too much cheese and was undercooked (the cheese was bright white) … I tried to finish cooking it in my oven and that didn’t work (didn’t taste right). I’m still sick to my stomach after eating only a couple pieces – and it’s almost 24 hours later… Beware folks! It’s not the same as it used to be.

I have eaten Duanes for decades and am not happy with the change in the oven to a conveyor system. Besides the excellent sauce and quality toppings what really made it the best in town was the crust. Originally it was cooked nice and thin and crispy, when you picked up a slice the toppings stayed in place but not now. The first slice I picked up this time the crust drooped and all the toppings slid right off. The rest of the pizza was the same way, soft saggy crust not the crispy crust Duanes was known for.

Bring back the old oven!!!!!

I figured i would give them another try tonight (11/7) and unfortunately it got worse. I called ahead for pickup 1 1/2 hrs later and when I arrived I still had to wait an additional 15 minutes. Again the crust was very soft bordering on soggy. I also ordered a tossed salad that came as a Styrofoam cup of plain lettuce, slightly brown with absolutely nothing else. Paid 2.99 for about 10 cents of lettuce. First photo is from the menu and next two are what i was given, noyhing alike. Duanes used to be the standard for quality and service in Fargo and unless it changes I won’t ever be back.
