Since we’d skipped lunch before coming, we had some absolutely delicious items, as see in the photos included.
Some of our favorite items were removed – the burrata, flatbreads were especially sad to see go. While the drinks, service and atmosphere are great here, the menu change is quite a bummer. We left spending 80-100$ per person, and still hungry.
I’m hopeful DTR might update the menu and bring more options back!
We had booked this reservation weeks ago when the previous menu was still in place, which included several vegetarian options. The menu was changed just three days before Valentine’s Day, and had we known sooner that those options were gone, we likely would have canceled and made other plans.
The new menu felt limited and underwhelming. With no vegetarian entrée options available my girlfriend ended up ordering the lamb meatball spaghetti (with no meatballs), it was essentially a $26 plate of plain spaghetti. I ordered the lamb kofta and while my meal was decent, it definitely could have been better given the price point.
The charcuterie board ($25) was also disappointing, coming with just three small slices of cheese and a minimal amount of bread. Nothing tasted bad, but the portion and value didn’t match the price.
To make matters worse, the pacing of the meal felt rushed. Our entrées arrived before we had even finished the charcuterie board, and before my girlfriend had finished eating, we were already being asked about dessert or the check.
Again, nothing was terrible — but for the price point and for what was supposed to be a special Valentine’s Day dinner, the overall experience felt lackluster and disappointing.
