I waited way too long to visit D-Town but man was it worth the wait.

Chef/owner Ryan is the real deal. He knows how to make a killer pizza and his passion truly shows behind each pie.

I ordered two half squares today, the 313 and Haole aka not Hawai’ian.

Both of these were so damn good. The crust/dough is insane, it’s so fluffy and bouncy with a super crispy crust and a fantastic bite. There’s so much flavor in the dough alone I could eat it by itself.

The 313 is rather simple but executed to perfection. Cheesy, savory, herby, light, and just delicious. The pesto and vodka sauce are as good or even better than the top pasta places. Combined on top of the pizza though here? Wow. Just, WOW.

The Haole is such a unique and amazing take on the classic Hawai’ian, what sets it apart are the charred pineapple and bacon jam, plus the pickled jalapenos. Spicy, sweet, savory, fresh, just the best “Hawai’ian” pizza you could ever eat.

Absolutely will return and try some more pizzas!

Square pizza with crispy cheese edges? Say less.

Tried a super unique square-shaped pizza with crispy, baked cheese crusts and a light, airy dough. Totally different from your classic slice — and honestly, so satisfying, especially if you show up hungry.

It’s rich, indulgent, and kinda addictive.
Definitely not your everyday pizza — but absolutely worth trying at least once, especially if you love cheesy corners and a bit of crunch.

Perfect comfort food. I’d go back just for the edges alone.

I rarely write a review immediately after I’ve tried the food at a restaurant much less a pizza place. To say the food in LA has been underwhelming during and after the pandemic is an understatement. So, when a close friend of mine recommended this place, I was skeptical to say the least. She seemed almost afraid to tell me that it was good because she knows I’m extremely skeptical trying new places and critical when it comes to my favorite foods; one being Mexican food and the other being Italian restaurants and/or pizza places. I’m not a deep dish lover so I already had expected not to think their pizza was going to be very pleasing to me. I couldn’t have been more wrong! Wow! Delicious pizza that is light, has crunchy cheese edges, and the sauwwwwce! Magnifique!! I’m typing this and suppressing the urge to devour another piece! I’m a NY style, thin crust, pizza lover. So, I’m pleasantly surprised that I now have another option when I’m craving something different. If you’re a native Los Angeleno, it is reminiscent of Damiano’s in West Hollywood…do you remember them? They had a different pizza box each time you ordered. They were across from Canters back in the day. Dtwown pizzeria sorry to say is 10xs better in every way and not greasy. I will definitely be back and I HIGHLY recommend!

I was visiting LA, and stumbled upon this place after a two-hour walk around West Hollywood with my dogs. I had never had Detroit-style pizza before, but it looked delicious. I waited outside with my dogs, and the staff member was kind enough to bring my order out to me. Got the half-size of the 1946 Cheese, took it back to the hotel, and devoured it. The pizza was so good that I ordered a whole order late that week and had it delivered to my hotel. Got the same cheese pizza, but added half meat to the other side for my partner, who was also impressed. The crispy edges alone are worth all the third-party delivery fees, and definitely will order again next time I’m there. And yes, the dogs got a little bite.

I was never into “deep dish” or any type of thick pizza, however this Detroit style is beyond delicious! Highly recommend. Any flavor is on point have had Mowtown and DBM so far both were phenomenal

D-town in #WeHo was worth crossing the 405 for. The Michiganders in our crew said the #meatball pizza was the best they’d ever head. I am wishing we got more of the seasonal street corn one because it reheated under the broiler just fine the next day. We loved the chewy yet airy dough and the edges that taste like they were deep-fried. This is what happens when a chef opens a pizza place.

I didn’t even know Detroit-style pizza was a thing until I stumbled across this place—and I was glad I did! The pizza was thick, fluffy, and full of flavor—seriously satisfying and honestly a little addictive. I was genuinely sad when the last bite was gone.
This spot is pretty much takeout only—when we went there were no table options and no frills, just a sidewalk window where a hard-working team is churning out your pizza slice. You order and pay at the window, grab a drink if you want, and wait to be called. Most people seem to just perch on the curb or take their pizza to-go.
Prices were on the higher side, but the portions are generous, and you can order by the slice or go for the whole pizza. I’d say it’s worth the splurge if you’re in the mood for something filling and different.

First time having Detroit style pizza and apparently, I came to the right place. Wonderfully crispy cheese crust and outstanding sauce – the house made ranch is a perfect pairing. Fairly expensive for a 4 slice pie, but I’d come back here again. New York style will always be my go-to, but this may be my 2nd or 3rd favorite type of pizza.

Dtown pizzeria has been my go to pizza for years now. I used to go when they were still located inside of Phorage, and go even more now that they have their own location.

Chef Ososky has absolutely nailed the deep dish pizza in every way imaginable. With new specials and timeless classics that keep me coming back. The Haole has quickly become my pizza anywhere, and their new summer corn/elote pizza is out of this world.

If you are in the area and don’t stop by, I genuinely do not understand what you are doing. This is the best there is.

Oh my GAWD. Ordered regular size pizzas and got the pepperoni “Goomba” and a vodka/pesto. The dough is so fluffy!!! Never thought I’d like Detroit style so much. This place does something right – what a gem. Sat at the high counter and enjoyed people watching. It’s a small place, but it worked for the two of us. Also, the neighborhood is cute and we walked Santa Monica Blvd afterwards.
