While visiting the area around Zimmerman, we happened upon this spot while looking for a place to eat and watch playoff MLB. Not only were they nice enough to put our game on, the service was prompt and friendly from each employee. The food from the French dip (omg yum) to the salmon was so tasty with great serving sizes and perfect temperature. To finish off the meal we had to try the fruity pebble cannoli and was pleasantly surprised by the strange combination.

Greated and sat immediately upon entering. Server (Heather) was very friendly and polite with a good sense of humor.
Had the poutine, d’s burger and the brisket tacos. The poutine was awesome. The burger was good but cooked med well not medium as ordered but still had good flavor. The brisket on the tacos was a bit dry. Drinks were refilled before they were emptied.
A bit on the pricier side for us but it was good.

We ordered the bruschetta appetizer which was a bit on the sweeter side than we normally like but the beef ribs were amazing! The mashed potatoes had a delicious flavor of butter, garlic? Thyme and rosemary and the brussel sprouts were very very good! We would recommend this place to anyone visiting or just driving through Zimmerman hangs down!

UPDATE: I brought my 2 sons and my husband here because I had such a great experience the first time. WOW – everything was delicious again. We ordered a little bit of everything and not a single person was disappointed. We all loved it!

I am blown away at how top tier my experience at D’s Smoke House Bar and Grill was. The food was incredibly tantalizing and scrumptious. The mushrooms were so perfect and tender and fresh. The meat- unmatched in its superior quality and flavor. The chips, incredible. Coffee- perfect. And as someone who is celiac- this was hands down the best gluten free bun I have ever had. The owner himself took the time to talk to us about the gluten free buns from clover meadow bakery they use in house and shared some really neat details about how his establishment operates. It is evident that there is a high caliber level of sincere care for those who have food allergies as well as ensuring their guests are welcomed with a personal touch. This is rare to experience in most restaurants to have such a personal sincere touch!!! Because of this it was the cherry topper to an already fantastic experience! D’s Smokehouse Bar and Grill is a real gem of an establishment and I look forward to coming back. 10/10 all around. Spectacular!!!

Great service and speed despite it being a busy Saturday. Sides are really good. The smoked meats are on par with their equipment. Almost too moist, wife’s sandwich bun was soggy from it. Brisket had an amazing flavor for the crust, but the smoke didn’t permeate deep enough. Again, great food, just not as smoky as I hoped.

Stopped in for a quick burger and a chance to relax. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They were a little slow to take my order, but when it came, it was worth the wait. I had a delicious Smash Burger with fries and washed it down with some Liquid Ice. It really hit the spot.

Stopped at D’s Smokehouse for lunch and was seated by one of the managers Brenda. She suggested either the brisket, chicken, or beef ribs. I went with the brisket with beans and mac for the sides. The brisket was great. They included both a piece of the flat and the point which is nice. Both pieces were extremely tender and the fat was well rendered. The beans were phenomenal and included multiple smoked meats. At first I wasn’t very impressed with the Mac as it was a bit dry. Brenda asked how my meal was and I gave her my honest thoughts. She promptly brought me out some fresh Mac & Cheese and the difference was night and day. If you’re in the area I would highly recommend D’s Smokehouse if you are in the mood for BBQ and excellent service.

Sooo good! Finally found Beef Ribs! Yum, yum, yum! They are awesome as was EVERYTHING on our plates! Mashed potatoes and the way they serve the veggies, absolutely delicious! The corn bread is to die for! Every employee genuinely cares, and it shows. They ensure you are 100% satisfied. Kudos!! Please, please keep them beef ribs on the grill and menu! We’ll be back time and time again!
