Title: A Gem in the Hillside Community!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at DryDocks during their soft opening for brunch, and I must say, it’s a delightful addition to the Hillside community in Lagrange! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The food was simply outstanding! I opted for the low country shrimp & grits, which was seasoned to perfection and bursting with flavor. My husband enjoyed the scrumptious scrambled lobster toast, which he couldn’t stop raving about. Each bite was a testament to the chef’s skill and commitment to quality.

The service was attentive and friendly, making our experience even more enjoyable. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend visiting DryDocks—you’ll be treated to a fantastic meal that will leave you wanting to return for more. Can’t wait to come back and try more from their menu! Five stars all the way!

Dry Docks was a great experience. The food was fresh and flavorful, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Everything came out quickly and was well done. Definitely a spot I’d come back to and recommend.

Our first time here. As Navy people we were excited to see this place open. The decor is pretty neat, but definitely gives an upscale, high-end feel instead of a casual seafood joint, which we didn’t mind. The food was decent, I got a lobster po-boy with sweet potato fries. The fries were fantastic, but the poboy wasn’t my favorite. The bun was very crumbly and dry, so it didn’t pair well with the lobster. I felt it was a little stale, not sure if it was or not, but it looked and tasted that way. The lobster was good though. The drinks were AMAZING! I got the bosun breeze. We also got a desert which was very yummy, the blackberry cobbler. We did spend over $100 for two people which looking back isn’t that bad considering what we ordered, but this is seafood so expect market prices. I most likely will come back in the near future and try something different, I have seen good reviews of this place.

Got the shrimp and grits and they were the worst I’ve ever had dry overcooked no seasoning and the presentation was not the best just because the dish name is shrimp and grits doesn’t mean boil grits and toss shrimp on.crab cakes were good just need a better binder and not worth 18.00 for two overall not something I’d recommend

We just found out about this restaurant and decided to give it a try. We walked in Saturday night without a reservation and we’re immediately seated. The staff was warm and friendly even though they were quite busy.
Our server,Malcolm, answered our questions about the menu and took our drink orders. As we were seated in the bar I watched my Manhattan being mixed and my wife’s red wine poured by non other then Malcom.Apparently he is the bartender also and I must say that our drinks were perfect. He returned later to take our dinner orders;Grilled fish w/coleslaw and fried fish w/fries. I also ordered one of their side dishes, collard greens cooked with ham hocks. In a reasonable time our food arrived, hot and delicious,if not slightly under seasoned. We ate everything.
Instead of desert we opted for two Espresso Martinis and they were a perfect ending to our meal at Dry Docks. I learned the next day that this restaurant hadn’t had a formal opening yet and we were there on a so-called soft opening. Call it what you will we plan on returning…..and soon.

The food was amazing!! We got the blackened mahi and grilled shrimp for our entrees, they were cooked to perfection! My finance got the collard and Parmesan baked oysters and she said they were the best oysters she’s ever had. Our server Bailey was also amazing, super knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Will definitely be back and highly recommend.

Food was pretty good, this place just annoys me. The menu is frustrating. I had hoped that with the Tuto Peppe theme ending, that they would step it back a notch with trying so hard to be fancy. I came in with a taste for oysters. You do a oyster poboy with fried oysters but dont have fried oysters on the menu. Tried to order grilled oysters but they they were out. Ended up going with the cheddar biscuits and gravy. It was good but not what i wanted. Menu is just weird and annoying. Trying too hard to be different. Also took a pretty long time to get a very simple dish, based on the yelling i heard from the kitchen, it sounded like they had to bake the biscuits after i ordered them. I’m gonna give this place another try, but right now it’s losing the battle to Cooters Catfish next door. Good but not great…. has potential.
