Excellent music venue! The acoustics are great and help create an intimate music listening experience. Very nice beer selection. The sushi is great – there were so many people at the venue on the night that we attended that they ran out! I wish that they had other food options.

What a gem! Sushi lovers south of the I-90, rejoice! Drumroll in Geneseo is serving up some of the tastiest sushi I’ve had in a very long time. (No longer will I have to make the trek up to Rochester.) We ordered a spicy tuna roll, Philadelphia roll, one of the restaurant’s signature rolls (I think it was called the Drumroll – fabulous!), eel nigiri, and seaweed salad. EVERYTHING was delicious, freshly made, and the two of us needed to take a bit of the rolls home. The owner was in-house and made us feel incredibly welcome. The sushi chef was pleasant, too. The indoor space is great! I can’t wait to come back for live music. See my picture for a peek at the place. If you love sushi, definitely make visiting Drumroll a priority.

The sushi was fantastic and we had lots of fun. The band was great. The building is very nice. Glad this opened in Geneseo! Certainly worth checking out.

This is exactly the type of Gem that Geneseo needed. Wonderful open lay out, friendly staff, the best Sushi in the area and a new spot where we can enjoy our local musician’s. Fully equiped with a stage and great lighting with Room to dance and eat. I should also mention that the prices dor everything are on point!

Definitely more a bar spot than a sushi spot. Waited around 45 minutes for mid/ not amazing sushi. The vibe is nice but definitely seen one of the servers walk around and touch his phone/ other thing with his black gloves and not change them.

My daughter and I decided to try the new local sushi restaurant this Friday evening. When we arrived there were only a few other people there. The bartender who took our order told me it would be 10-15 minutes for our food bc there was only one person making sushi. No problem, right? Wrong.
FIFTY minutes later we finally got our sushi (it wasn’t any better then the place we normally get sushi at).
It was really disappointing and seemed more like a bar that makes sushi on the side? Not sure what’s going on there. The owner should figure it out quickly.

Came for the music, stayed for the sushi. Between those and the selection of local craft brews and craft booze, I consider drum roll a winning trifecta. Keep your expectations realistic, it’s a young business. And this is Geneseo so you’re not going to find epic NYC sushi rolls here. But mine were tasty, the fish and rice were prepared properly, and the adornments were plentiful. It’s a great music venue, and that’s their priority. The bands I’ve seen have been stellar and the sound has been high quality. Drum roll offers a vibe and an experience I haven’t had elsewhere, and I’ve been enjoying it.
