I ordered a Guinness Reuben with a side of slaw. The slaw was unique, sweet and completely delicious. It held my attention from my Reuben, far longer than most other sides could have done. The sandwich itself was perfect, to my tastes. It arrived hot, and fresh from the kitchen. The bread was buttered and toasted to a fine crispiness. It housed generous layers of meat, cheese and kraut, with a flavorful sauce. It hit the spot completely.
I wish I’d been in position to order a Guinness to accompany the meal, but I was headed to a doctors appointment. Next time!
Cool place, great food, excellent service. See you in a few weeks!
Return visit, with my spouse. She had a most fantastic Fish and Chips, and I ordered a Monte Cristo.
Fish and Chips was three large slabs of beautiful haddock, light, flakey and delicious. Chips were excellent . I got to have her cole slaw.
The Monte Cristo was delicious, and piled high with turkey. The jam/dip was on the side, and was quite tasty.
More on the slaw…rarely do my comments gravitate toward slaw, but this stuff is something else. Well worth your side order, if it doesnt come with.
Our service was perfect again!
Dropped in for a late lunch, and bartender Zay was quick to sort me out with a pint of Harp & his recommendation of the Reuben was spot on. A chopped style corned beef on rye, with fries was filling and delicious. Not too much sauerkraut or sauce to overwhelm the flavor and a nicely toasted marble rye, made this Reuben a great lunch option.
Our server, Connor, was very attentive! our waters were never empty and he checked on us frequently. He had such a positive and pleasant demeanor.
The story of Drum and Quill about Bob Drum is made evident through the decor around the restaurant.
The menu has some unique options and the Spirit selection is vast! On this day they had Bloody Mary’s and mimosas on special for $6.
I highly recommend the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich! So much food for the price and delicious! The breading is the best I’ve ever had!!! My dining partner said the Mahi Tacos were delicious and loved the won ton chips that came with it!
Will definitely be coming back to try other menu items!
