My wife and I stopped in there on the way up North to get a couple hot dogs.
New owners don’t have a clue how to run a restaurant. The area is saturated with subpar mexican , fast food restaurants. That’s what Droopy’s has become.The bun was stale.The hot dogs had no snap, were mediocre and were greasy. The relish was not Vienna iridescent green Chicago style pickle relish and it had tomatoes on it which I asked not to put on. In general, it was a lousy hot dog.

Been coming here off & on for the last 15+ years or so and have always had a pleasant experience.
Can’t remember exactly when the current owner took over but this used to be just a Chicago type grill but as of maybe 8-9 years now, the menu also has some good Mexican/SW eats added to it.
Whenever I get that Droopy’s craving, everything is always in good standing. The quality of food is good with reasonable prices, customer service is always top notch and the dining room/tables are always clean.
Glad to support local and as long as they keep cooking up that yummy food with a smile, I’ll keep coming around.

Ours was a pickup order, I had a delicious taco salad and my son had the football gyro, both were very good. The Chicago dogs from there are one of the best I’ve eaten. Fast service and great food.

Place a order for delivery. The driver delivers to wrong address. And they call me back asking if I give them the right address. So how you mess up 632 address with 638 address. And got no apology from them or the driver basically saying it was my fault. Will not be ordering from this place ever again.

Food is always great, the prices are a bit steep for the food and the restaurant is a bit run down. They are always friendly but there’s no atmosphere. I would prefer some music instead of the 1 TV
they have going that you can only really see from a select 3-4 seats. I jumbo dog or polish runs $5.50 and does not include fries or drink you can make it a combo for an additional $3.99. Not bad for quality food at a mom and pop joint but there are comparable places nearby at a fraction of the price.

Najela was so amazing. I feel stupid but for some reason I couldn’t open the door, it was unlocked maybe im just weak but I called and she let me in and then when my food was ready she ran it out for me. Amazing service she was awesome.

I’m very Disappointed they’re not doing fresh hand cut fries anymore.
Today I ordered a gyros. Did not come off the spit. they grilled it. The meat was dry and over cooked! Dont recommend!
