Dude! If you are driving through Nowhereville, IL and don’t stop to eat at this place are you even really living?!? It’s a scenic 2 mile drive off of 57 to the quaint town of Mounds. Population 900. No joke!
We stopped by for a cheeseburger, chicken strips, and cheese curds. When I say this was one of the best cheeseburgers I have ever had, I’m not kidding! Cooked fresh to perfection on a toasted bun. Chef’s kiss. Then on to the chicken strips that have the perfect amount of crunch! I didn’t eat the cheese curds but my husband was pleasantly surprised by them!
Do not pass this place up if you are on a road trip! It is worth the stop! Food took about 20 minutes and it was worth every second!

The gyro burger and the gyro sandwich was fantastic. The owner is so nice and welcoming. Prices for the food is great.My only dislikes were with the server she was really rude and unprofessional. I think you have to order your food to go. The dining room didn’t seem like a place to sit and eat.

Waited an extremely long time due to only one worker working the shift… I wouldn’t have given 3 stars except when our food was done we were inside waiting and had been for 30 minutes and he still continued to take all new orders instead of giving me my fresh hot food.. therefore my fish was soggy, and fries were soggy and box had already sweated causing stale fries…. I think they should Poke holes in the box to let steam out so food doesn’t get soggy and go to waste…. fries tasted old the fish I can tell is good but it wasn’t crunchy how I wanted due to not being giving my order once it was ready. Customer service was good and the food is good other than this…. The restaurant needs more help….. FAST bc it’s a great addition to the small town in need of a restaurant…. one person can’t do it tho….
