Our server, (whose name I requested) was everything you’d want from a personable and knowledgeable pro: Christopher McDavid was his name. Then, what was truly awesome, he offered us a 2 lb fresh Keys Lobster that had come in that day & we ordered it ‘Chef’s Choive’ – then as we were served THE CHEF came in uniform to our table on the sand and we chatted with him. Chef Vann was genuinely interested in sharing how he prepared it and took a few minutes chatting – Incredible guy!
Between Chris & Chef Vann and that incredible food, my ‘review’ is go there – ask to sit on the sand just beyond the dining room and get an awesome experience there. 10 on a 10 scale.
Had 2 family members down n they joined us and both were speechless after we all ate the goodies they delivered. That happened to be our 2nd time in a week going there and we just booked again for next week. I’ve never written a restaurant review before. Had to do it on this one. Dan n Meg from Chicago

Man this was a great find by my wife. On the grounds of Islander resort, is this great restaurant where the grouper and lamb chops compete with their gluten free keylime pie and coco (old) fashion. Rene our waitress was also awesome as without great service, you can’t have an awesome experience, regardless of the quality of food. I highly recommend this spot.

Good food, good service, close to being great. Skip the coconut ceviche, it was a weird dish and only one person in our party of five liked it. The bouillabaisse was the clear winner for us followed by the catch of the day (Dolphin/Mahi). They automatically added 20% gratuity. The location on the map is incorrect, it’s located right next to the Tides Bar on the map. We parked and wandered 10 minutes in the dark before we found Drift. This needs to be fixed.

A very expensive option for dinner on the beach. It couldn’t be more romantic. The view and venue were breathtaking. Unfortunately, the food was bland. Cauliflower appetizer had ZERO flavor. It took 10 minutes to get our server back to our table to request salt and pepper. She seemed disinterested. There were a total of 3 tables including ours in the entire restaurant. The manager checked on the family of 4 across from us, once they completed their meal. She never accknowledged us. So, I would say to bypass this one and go elsewhere. We were there on 7/09/2025.

We had a reservation for a month for my daughter and wife’s birthday.. the restaurant called at 3:15 the day of and cancelled on us, saying they had too many events happening at their location. We were just a table of 4

This place was a 10 out of 10 ! Kayla, took every extra step to make a very special night! We brought our own catch of lobster and they made it several different ways. Great place amazing views and amazing service!

The whole dining experience was excellent. Food quality, service and taste surprised me how good it was, and the outdoor dining experience on the beach with a rediculous amount of palm trees is why we love the Keys. Happy to have another Fine dining option in Islamorada!
