The culinary offerings at Drift are nothing short of exceptional. I had the pleasure of indulging in their lamb lollipops, which were cooked to perfection… juicy, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Each bite was a delightful orchestration of spices that showcased the culinary prowess of the kitchen. The braised short rib was equally impressive; tender and rich, it melted in my mouth and paired wonderfully with the accompanying sides. It was evident that each dish was crafted with passion and attention to flavor profiles, making my dining experience truly enjoyable.
Moreover, Drift’s non-alcoholic beverage selection deserves special mention. It is refreshing to see a restaurant take such care in creating delicious alternatives for guests who prefer not to indulge in alcohol. Each drink was thoughtfully crafted, bursting with flavor and perfectly complementing the dishes. This commitment to inclusivity in their beverage offerings enhanced my experience.
I must highlight the service, particularly from my server, Elijah. With his kind, caring, and compassionate nature, he transformed my evening into something genuinely special. Elijah was not just attentive but also engaging and outgoing, making recommendations with genuine enthusiasm. His personal touch elevated the dining experience, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel valued as a guest.
Drift truly stands out as a hidden gem in Pensacola Beach. Between the enchanting ambience, exquisite food, and outstanding service from Elijah, this restaurant is a must visit for anyone in the area. I left satisfied and eager to return, knowing that exceptional experiences await every time I step through Drift’s doors. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, make sure to add Drift to your list of dining destinations! You won’t be disappointed!
The appetizer listed scallops, but we were served a single scallop, which felt underwhelming for a tasting-style menu at this price. The grilled Caesar salad course was actually the highlight of the evening — enjoyable, though not especially memorable.
For the main course, we had the filet mignon with lobster garlic, mashed potatoes, and green beans. The steak itself was cooked very well, which we appreciated. However, the rest of the dish fell short. The potatoes lacked any noticeable garlic flavor, the butter was plain and unseasoned, and most components of the plate were served lukewarm, with the exception of the steak.
Dessert was fine overall. The lemon cheesecake was pleasant, but others at the table had the bread pudding and found it to be very dry. We also never received our complimentary toast.
Service throughout the evening was also somewhat subpar and did not reflect the level of attentiveness or polish we would expect from a restaurant offering a premium dining experience.
This wasn’t a terrible meal, but for the cost, we were expecting more in terms of flavor, execution, and service. We hope this feedback is helpful, as we believe there’s potential here — it just didn’t meet expectations on this visit.

The best part of our whole experience was our server Harrison. He did a excellent job.
We only received 2 TINY scallops for the appetizers. They tasted undercooked and the texture was so slimy. Been eating scallops my whole life, never seen them served this slimy. I sent them back. They even looked raw.
I ordered a blueberry/lemon martini. It tasted like pure vodka. Lacked the lemon and blueberry taste.
The bartender that made the drinks did not even fill our drinks all the way up with ice. For $150/person.
The food was not up to par with the prices.
We drove an hour to try this restaurant.
Paid a total of $400 for 2 people.
Would not recommend.
Disappointing.
The atmosphere is stylish but relaxed, making it a great spot for a special evening without feeling too formal. Service was attentive and professional without being over the top.
Definitely one of the best dining experiences in the area. Highly recommended and we will be back.
Whether it was luck or judgment, we couldn’t have been happier with our choice!
Having spent the last six days staying in Pensacola Beach, there is not another restaurant that comes close in terms of fine dining.
The menu offers a wide variety of dishes and we were spoilt for choice. We started with the Baked Brie and the Lamb Lollipops(which absolutely lived up to the hype!), followed by the Double Stuffed Chicken and Ribeye Steak. Each dish was perfectly balanced with delicate spice and seasoning and each portion left you feeling sated, not overly full.
We had decided to share a dessert but I was surprised with a very kind birthday plate of their signature Bread Pudding and I somehow managed to find space to try it!
Our food was accompanied by champagne, wine and a dessert cocktail, all of which were of an excellent standard and very much enjoyed.
But the absolute star of the show was the service. We were expertly looked after by Melissa, whose knowledge, humour and genuine passion for providing an excellent customer experience completely enhanced our night and really made my birthday special.
So a huge thanks to Drift for a fantastic evening and please ensure Melissa receives the recognition she deserves.
