I’ve been to this little restaurant a few times. Only for breakfast, but they seem to specialize in breakfasts, judging by their broad breakfast menu. The food has been good each time. The service, and atmosphere have been excellent. The only thing I wish was different would be having hashed browns as a side dish choice. While their home fries aren’t bad, hashed browns are simply crispier. I should try this place out for lunch sometime as well.

Good lil restaurant, everything was well prepared and the servers were very nice. Patty Melt meal was good except that the pickle was old. The benedict eggs were over hard as well as the muffin. Hope this was just a off day because the menu is huge.

I tried here today for the first time and got the Texas cheeseburger sliders I must say the picture doesn’t do it credit. It was by far the best I’ve had in a long time the staff was friendly and on it also. I’ll definitely be back! If your looking for a small local family diner this is a great spot

“Kindness goes a long way”
This morning I had breakfast at Drexel Hill restaurant and the food was great. While we were eating, another patron was leaving with a walker. The waitress, Laura, walked him out to help him get in his vehicle. Did she have to? No. She did it because that’s what people who care do (she was the only waitress working at the time). When she came back in, another patron mentioned something to her about it and she said “kindness goes a long way…”.
Bravo Laura for being extra kind today 🙂 (especially when you didn’t know anyone was watching!)

Mom and I had a lunch here for the first time today (saturday). It wont be our last! Absolutely delicious! Mom had two large broiled crabcakes with butter, cocktail sauce, creamy clam soup, applesauce and homemade fries. Wish I’d gotten photos but she was hungry. Lol. I had sizzling hot chicken fajitas (chicken, green peppers, onions and mushrooms) on a cast iron skillet. Soft tacos, diced tomato, lettuce, cheddar cheese, hot green (jalepeno?) peppers, sour cream, guacamole and rice came with it on a huge platter. So much food we took the rest home for dinner! Mom had a big, moist, very rich slice of dark chocolate cake for dessert. I had a few bites. Yum!!! All the staff were very welcoming, the place is super clean, the young man clearing the tables was super quick and thorough. Our waitress Lori doted on mom, she was very sweet and attentive, and refilled our diet pepsi whenever we were low. The people sitting next to us were repeat customers and I noticed no one had to wait long for anything. It wasnt super crowded but I imagine it fills up after church on Sunday. I had a nice view of St. Dorothys across the street. Mom walks with a cane so the thoughtful hostess held the door for her coming in. A gallant gentleman helped mom into her chair and another kind man held the door for us going out. Royal treatment! Mom was very happy, we felt special 🙂 thank you ❤️

Without a doubt, the most important feature of Drexel Hill Restaurant is the outstanding attention to detail by server, Laura. Every Sunday after Mass at Saint Dot’s, I visit the restaurant. It amazes me how Laura greets everyone by first name, how she remembers special orders, how she remarkably remains patient and calm. She always has a smile on her face. I am requesting Drexel Hill Restaurant recognizes their best employee.

Wow. That pretty much sums up this place. We were greeted as soon as we walked in by friendly, smiling staff. It is on the smaller side, so I can see there could be a wait when they’re busy, but it was quieter when we visited so no worries there. I ordered my go to, biscuits and gravy, and was not disappointed. Unlike other places I’ve been, you could just tell that it was made with love. The biscuits were soft and the sausage gravy flavorful. It came with hash browns which had that golden brown crispiness you don’t always get. We’re already planning our next visit here and what we’ll try then. Definitely a must try spot!

Our waitress was so sweet and personable. The food was delicious and they were careful about my food allergy. The prices were reasonable. This is our second time here and I would keep coming back.
