Went to lunch last week after reading rave reviews and braved the cold to try and I’m glad we did. We had the spicy chicken, lemongrass chicken, egg rolls, banhmi and boba tea (tiger and then fruit). Everything was super tasty, the staff was friendly, and although not a giant place there was plenty of seating.

In order to get great Hmong food, you used to have to pay someone’s father $8,000. Now, one can drive down the street and get into EXCELLENT Hmong food! Sticky rice so good, Hmong moms can now take a break and instead of sending you home with a meal for the journey – can instead send you here on your way back home. Sausage so good you’ll get a Texan buying a flight to Southeast Asia. And the pepper. This wonderful mix of spicy peppers and seasonings that you’ll wanna put on everything because of how much extra punch it adds. Stop whatever you’re doing and see if this place is open right now. As my favorite Hollywood assassin says, “I’ll be back.”

I am insane about this place, its quickly turned into my comfort sweet treat. The spicy thai fried chicken is crazy good, flavorful, texture is perfect, and balanced so nicely with the sticky rice. The bahn mi’s have great bread and a delightful mix of flavors and textures, wow. The barbecue pork is super tender. The place itself is also super cute!!! Such lovely decorations. This place is dangerously close to my work, to the point that I’m fully just answering emails from here instead with some well-priced boba. Literally the only thing I would change is making it open more often. Dreamy Teazy, if you ever wanna open on Mondays, I’ll single-handedly support you.

The Bahn Mi’s are DELICIOUS. I love the option of bbq pork and lemongrass chicken. They are so good . I got the mango boba which tasted artificial but its still good. Lots of options for boba, and drinks. Definitely will come again!

I’m literally eating my food from here now—ITS SO GOOD. Please give them a shot.
We ordered the Spicy fried chicken and sticky rice, sesame chicken, Hmong sausage, and a lemongrass bahn mi. Everything is 10/10. Lots of flavor and SPICE. Now, I love spice and may have been a little overzealous with my spice level—it’s pretty HOT but it’s soooooo good!

Best banh mi! Fresh crispy bread and a variety of fillings including your basic ham and BBQ pork up to hot (very spicy!) Thai fried chicken. The spring rolls and sticky rice I’ve had were also excellent. Friendly service, clean modern dining room.

Dreamy Teazy, a new boba milk tea and banh mi restaurant, is currently in its soft opening phase on the north side of Madison. We had the pleasure of sampling a variety of items, and here’s our take:
Drinks:
* Thai Tea with Boba: Refreshing with a balanced sweetness—not overly sweet, which we appreciated. It would be great if there was an option to adjust the sweetness level, but this might depend on how the beverage is prepared.
Food:
* Barbecue Pork Banh Mi: Flavorful with a delightful pâté and a nice kick from fresh jalapeños. The bun had a crisp exterior and soft interior, though we wished it was served warm. A bit more protein would enhance the sandwich, balancing the bread-to-meat ratio. Compared to other local options, this was perhaps the best we’ve had in the Madison area.
* Hmong Spicy Sausage with Sticky Rice: A standout dish. The sausage was flavorful with just the right amount of heat. The sticky rice had a pleasant chew and a rich flavor, possibly from added broth. The homemade spicy fish sauce complemented the dish perfectly.
Overall Impressions:
Considering they’re in the soft opening phase, Dreamy Teazy shows great potential. The prices are on par with similar establishments, and the quality of the food stands out. It seems to be a family-run business, which we’re always happy to support.

This place has some of the best food in town! Had their BBQ pork banh mi, Hmong sausage, and Thai spicy friend chicken with sticky rice today – all incredibly good. We ordered the chicken Hot and it sure was! But sooo good. They only have four two-top tables inside, so it’s more of a takeout option, but if the tables are free it’s very nice to sit inside.

There is room for improvement. Bahn Mi, the pickled carrots and daikon are overpowering and I think the ratio of that to everything else on the sandwhich is a bit much. The cilantro was very bitter (I am a cilantro lover) possible old cilantro used. A bit more pate would be good, and please think about toasting the bread. Toasting the bread would go a long way to make a great sandwich.

I went in a 2nd time, two days in a row. 1st occurrence was great, went back the next day received 3 cold Bahn Mi chicken sandwiches. It was disgusting served cold! Very disrespectful too! If you want to risk improper service after showing support and loyalty to a new establishment then you may want to risk your money here
