Such a great experience at Dreamland! JJ was a sweet and generous waitress, and I’m glad she encouraged me to get the Oreo pudding, which was delicious. Tips and chips came out super fast and was amazing!

After an informative, multisensory, and emotional experience at The Legacy Museum, I walked about a block to Dreamland BBQ. I’d heard about the hickory-grilled ribs that made this place a local staple, so I got the rib plate with fried okra and slaw. A 10/10 meal, seriously.
I’m used to Texas-style spareribs, which have a pleasing glaze and finish. These ribs aren’t that. The emphasis here is on maximum. They were smoky, super juicy, and seasoned (with salt) perfectly. They were cooked properly, too, meaning there was some tear between the meat and bone.
The staff was equally lovely. After lunch, I ordered an IPA, which they brew in house. For those who use Untappd, it is a Verified Venue.

Dreamland BBQ is the perfect spot for comfort food done right. The BBQ is absolutely delicious—especially the pulled pork burger, which was excellent, and the stew, which was rich and tasty. Every dish feels hearty and satisfying.
The service is excellent, with staff who are attentive and friendly, making you feel right at home. The atmosphere is welcoming and laid-back, creating the kind of place where you just want to relax and enjoy great food with friends or family.

Great bbq. Loved the ribs, not fall off the bone but good and tender. Banana pudding was 75% nilla wafer, which was great for my wife. The best thing was the quesadilla appetizer! Skip the Mac and cheese. That was disappointing, soggy noodles and cheese like sauce.

Wings are not smoked or really fried. They are not seasoned and the drizzle of sauce or the sauce on the side do any for them.
The chicken on that salad had no taste.
Rib tips were good
French fries had no seasoning but tasted good with salt and pepper.

Our attentive server guided us through the menu with ease, and we ultimately decided on “the Big Daddy Barbecue Sandwich + the works.” My wife opted for the pork, while I chose the chicken, and both sandwiches were absolutely delicious! I must admit mine was a bit messy, but the flavor made every bite worthwhile.
The lively atmosphere, combined with a touch of historical flair, made our visit even more enjoyable. A wonderful surprise came when an employee named JJ, who was not our server, approached us with her warm personality and helpfulness. Her exceptional customer service truly enhanced our experience.

Just an all around great experience! The BBQ here is good, they have so many different options to try different things! My favorite thing on the menu are the Big Daddy Loaded House Chips! The prices and portions are mind-blowingly awesome! The local beer selection is quite plentiful as well, they have something for any and all tastes! I usually sit at the bar, and the bartenders are just wonderful, they are attentive, prompt, and kind! The music selections are just perfect! If you’re looking for a chill place to relax with good food, great beer, awesome service, and nice jams…Dreamland BBQ downtown Montgomery is where you need to be!

It was such a cool place, it was a long weekend and I just wanted something lite, went with the chili. It was spicy (I’m not into spice), if you like spice, then you’d love it.

I was highly disappointed in this place. I came during lunch. Wasn’t much of a crowd. But when I walked in it took someone almost 15 minutes to acknowledge me to be seated.
When I got the food it was definitely lackluster. The wings taste like they were freezer burnt. I only ate one maybe two of them and I couldn’t finish them.
The baked beans tasted like they came straight out of a can.
The okra had no seasoning whatsoever
And the ribs were mediocre at best.
And the sad part about it is when I got back to the office and I told a couple of my peers about the experience and they said I should have asked them and they would have told me not to go there.
But hey lesson learned. At least the service was good when I finally was seated
