Our server Presley S did a great job! She’s very upbeat, personable, and explained her take on the food really well. One of the best servers we’ve had in quite a while. The food was delicious. I had the club sandwich with sweet potato waffle fries, and it came out very quickly. My wife had the blue cheese and apple salad, which was much larger than she anticipated. It tasted good also. Of course I couldn’t pass up having Founders All Day IPA from my hometown of Grand Rapids. A great place to eat in my mind, and our first time at a Drake’s.

This place is well taken care of. Beautifully decorated and relaxing atmosphere. Our waiter was top tier. He accommodated everything down to clumsy messes with a smile on his face. Had no bad interactions with anyone. This was a first for us and we really enjoyed visiting here. My mom and I shared sandwiches to get a variety of tastes since we weren’t sure what to order. I got the Patty Melt and I ordered mom the Chicken Sandwich. We both preferred the Patty Melt. The chicken was deep fried but massive. We felt that the chicken sandwich was too heavy for us. Not the balance for a meal at that time for our food choice. It is a really good sandwich though. The patty melt had fresh meat which we loved. Mom got the sweet potatoes waffles fries and so did my nephew and they were so good! My nephew loved his chicken sandwich (teens). My sister enjoyed her buffalo chicken sandwiches. My son could not put down his grilled cheese. He loved his tater tots. I got the original fries and I wish they had a tad less salt on them otherwise great. Mom got the pink lemonade and wasn’t a big fan. I tried it and it did not hit the spot. I ordered a peach sweet tea which my mom and son loved. Little man had to have his own. My nephew had three Mr. Pibbs and enjoyed the cookie alamo.
We will be returning and exploring more of the menu and re ordering that peach sweet tea. It doesnt out beat Pig in a Pokes tea but it’s still good.

We went as a group for dinner , we literally enjoyed I ordered sushi it was amazing all of my group ordered other items like fried fish that was delicious and teriyaki chicken bowl and ribeye and filet mignon everything was fantastic.

Overall, we are thrilled! Finally having a good restaurant option in the neighborhood . Best sushi in the county, if not the region. Drinks are good, service is friendly and timely, albeit they appropriately staffed up with members with experience to back up the new servers. Burgers are amazing, the steak however, misses the mark at this price point, and the kitchen seemed to miss medium rare by miles. Newly opened expect 45 min weight and since no reservations are being accepted (you will have to wait in the parking lot bar to be seated.) Fairly frenic sports bar atmosphere might be a little much for an intimate date. Still, highly enjoyed the whole experiences enough to go several times since opening.

Finally another great and one of my favorite restaurants that I don’t have to drive two hours to get to. This Drakes is as good as any I’ve eaten at. Service is a little slower but to be expected as they break in a new staff. Don’t be intimidated by the crowd, they are plenty of seating and our projected one hour wait was actually 20 minutes. Food was spot on and consistent with what we’ve had in other locations.

I had a great burger with well seasoned fries. Only had a couple of issues with the place and one is a personal preference and the other I just found odd. I’m really confused when I saw a crap ton of sushi on the menu. Burgers, chicken sandwichs, and sushi screams like an identity crisis to me. I may have to give the sushi a try next time but like a gas station I’m not sure a sports bar atmosphere is going to give good results. Second I ordered a Guinness and while I’m sure some people like it cold I would have liked the option for room temperature. I will say my burger was great and our waitress was great even though she had some issues putting our order in telling us it was her second day which is totally understandable.

Visited for lunch on black Friday 2025. This place is a bar but would put Applebee’s to shame. Food selection was great and all for entrees that we ordered were above average. The wait times for our server to get to us are short, and she was very attentive throughout the meal. Prices were high for bar food, but the food itself isn’t really bar food and is more like a steak house.

I have eaten here both dinner and lunch at different times. Food is great, staff is friendly, and great service, but I don’t like having it served on a paper liner. My white fish that touched the paper with red star turned a pink color. Next time I will ask that my fish be placed on a plate. I hope that will be acceptable. My husband loves the restaurant. I like it too.
