Yes, the burgers are small. But this is a good thing, I think. With a nearly overwhelming menu of exotic burgers, you’ll want to try more than one. And you really should. The prices are reasonable for a gourmet burger joint. Certainly less than a burger at a nice restaurant (depending on where you go, might be the cost of three burgers here), but more than the neighboring McDonald’s. Absolutely worth it. The staff is very friendly, and the restaurant itself is nice and open. There’s a bar and patio upstairs, as well. There’s some stiff competition in the area for best burger, but Drakes Haus deserves to be in contention. If you’re looking for a unique take on a hamburger, definitely stop by.

Burgers are unique and delicious! They seem small but that’s what makes it fun because you can try 2 at a time, and eating 2 with some of their great sweet potato tots and a micro brew your stuffed. Service is a little confusing, just go upstairs to the bar and you get fully waited on.

I just had lunch there and I am super happy about it. The service is great, the food is delicious, the ambient is quite cool and the price is fair for the quality.

I got two sliders for lunch, and it was a good amount of food for me. They have several interesting combinations of ingredients but you can also build your own sliders. I got a California and a Dallas slider and I was impressed by how tasty it was!

Strongly recommend.

I’ve eaten burgers, over the last few years, all over Boulder. The best in town are Mateo’s, Riffs, The Cork and Q’s in The Boulderado. The next tier down Lark Burger and I’d say Drakes Haus. If you like hamburgers, you really owe it to yourself to give it a try. I mean come on, how many ways can you do a burger differently? This was one of the most unique different flavor experiences with a hamburger I’ve had. The portions are small but pay attention to what you’re eating. Each item is very high quality and full of flavor. If you’re looking for a fast food type experience, this isn’t it. Kudos to the owners of this great new idea.

Not the best place if you’re looking for a huge meal, but their burgers are quite good. They get pretty creative with their ingredients, so don’t expect a typical cheeseburger. I’ve only had their standard fries, but those were excellent.

We went to Drakes Haus for the first time tonight. We enjoyed the interestingness of the menu, with merlot-infused burgers at its core but with also with some good Mediterranean-themed appetizers. It’s an interesting hybrid where you order at the counter, then everything after that is full-service. The wait staff were extremely nice. The place is very kid-friendly; we have three kids ages 5 and under and we felt very welcome.

Their veg burger (Boulder Burger) is outright awesome. Hungrybuffs makes the already spendy prices unreasonable (increased prices + delivery fee + service fee = not a regular thing), but otherwise this place is worth checking out. So far all of the food has been amazing, especially the shakes/malts. If the prices were brought down a bit, we’d be there all of the time.

I’m confused by the concept of this place. It’s like half fast food, half actual restaurant. You order food and pay at a counter like a fast food joint, and go to a soda fountain to get a drink. But then they bring food to you like a normal restaurant and then also have super hot waitresses to bring you refills and wait on you.

It’s not that I’m complaining but, you guys gotta pick a thing. No one would know what to do off the bat. There’s a girl that literally explains everything as you walk in (how much time does that waste), but even after the explanation and the display of food sizes (I guess they had a lot of complaints about what people were expecting when ordering a burger), I didn’t know if I should leave a tip at the table on top of the tip I left at the register, or go back for refills on soda at the thing. It’s just bizarre and borderline uncomfortable. The waitress already comes to your table anyway, menus are there printed up, what’s the reason for trying to change a system that wasn’t broken.

The food was awesome but so, so very tiny. Don’t go here if you’re hungry at all. Not to sound like a fat american but really (I’m English, I get the european thing, still upsetting). I would happily pay twice the price for a normal sized burger of equal or even lesser deliciousness (it was that good). I ordered two different burgers. Both an amazing combination of flavors, unlike any burger I’ve ever had. But when they were gone in 3 smallish bites a staggering 1 minute later, I barely had time to enjoy them without being very aware that I had just just ate $10 in less time than it took to walk into the restaurant from the parking lot, and that was while attempting to take time to savor the flavor. To date, this is the first restaurant I’ve ever left still hungry. Due in part to the inability to figure out how to order more food.

The bar upstairs was really cool, outdoor seating with a fire pit and a view of the flat irons, money! But the cost for a small glass of sub par wine was $10. Literally the box the wine came in couldn’t have cost that much. Won’t be doing that one twice.

The modern decor was also really awesome. From the lighting to the chairs, they spent some bucks making it into a nice comfy place, and I can’t wait to buy all of their furniture when they go out of business in a couple months.

In summation, a cool secret little place in Boulder, but being one of the best kept secrets is bad for business. Great food, but way too little of it for the price. The place had all the making of a cool spot, except for people in it.

It was as if the lollipop guild opened the coolest most expensive burger joint ever.

I go to Drakes Haus at least once a week since I work at a local business. I love that there are new burgers constantly being added to the menu, it has an amazing staff, and an awesome atmosphere! Keep it up!
