I’m so happy Drago’s relocated to Perkins Rowe—it’s such a treat to be able to walk over on a Friday night! I’ve been going to Drago’s for years, first in Metairie and then downtown at the Hilton Riverside, and this location absolutely holds up.

Of course, you have to start with the oysters—nobody does them better. I wasn’t in the mood for anything fancy this time, so I went with a classic: the red beans. They were pretty darn good. Drinks were excellent, and the staff—both waiters and waitresses—were on top of their game. Honestly, some of the best service I’ve had in Baton Rouge. True professionals who made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.

The only downside for me was the atmosphere. The grey and white walls felt a bit bland, though I did appreciate the Louisiana paintings, which fit the vibe much better. It also seemed surprisingly quiet for a Friday night at 7pm, and the place even felt overstaffed. Prices are on the higher side, but you really do get what you pay for here.

In summary: the food and staff were amazing, the atmosphere was just okay. Still, Drago’s continues to be a Louisiana classic and a spot.

What an incredible Valentine’s Day experience! We went at 6:30pm and was a small wait but not bad. The staff, especially management, was attentive and welcoming from the moment we walked in, even though they were running around. Staff was also dressed appropriately.
The shrimp appetizer, wow — perfectly fried shrimp with a bold buffalo sauce that added just the right kick without being overpowering. I also ordered the seafood pasta, and it was loaded with shrimp and crabmeat, delicious and plenty of seasoning! We also tried the catch of the day, SO GOOD!
For dessert, we ordered the brownie. It was warm and not to sweet, but highly recommend!
Drago’s exceeded our expectations. If you’re looking for a quality seafood experience in Baton Rouge, this place delivers. We’ll absolutely be back — highly recommend giving Dragos Perkins Rowe a try.

This place was outstanding in every way. My daughter was having a 16th birthday dinner and wanted to have it at Perkins Rowe. It was 16-18 girls. So we visited every restaurant, and most of them, while nice, seemed very detached. One place, the cute taco place in the back, wanted to charge us $25 for bringing our own cake in! Crazy talk!

But as soon as we walked into Drago’s, we felt welcomed and like they actually wanted our business. Scott, the GM, went above and beyond to accommodate us.

On the day of the dinner, the servers really had their stuff together and were all smiles. Just the sweetest people. We had Cat and Emory, and we loved them both. The food was delicious and came out quickly.

I really can’t say enough good things about the whole experienc,e except thank you for making my girl’s day special!

I sat by the bar here for LSU family weekend and Rae and Andrea helped me and were great! Now I came about an hour before closing but my oysters were good and my fish shrimp and grits were 10/10. Whenever I come back to LSU and BR ill be back!

Me and my Husband went to the New Dragos location at Perkins Rowe on Valentine’s Day just for a quick bite. We sat outside the atmosphere was great and beautiful looking out to the fountain at Perkins Rowe. The Service was Amazing our Server Allee was so sweet and helpful loved her and management checked on us numerous of times. We both had the Charbroiled Oysters and I’ve had their oysters before and there always great but for some reason today they were Better than EVER. The oysters were so FRESH and large in size they were amazing. My husband also had the crab cakes and he said they were great as well. Definitely coming back and making it more frequent stop. If your worried about parking it’s just easier to park in the parking garage and walk instead of trying to park in front the restaurant.

We went to try Drago’s for the second time last night. They were slammed by the time we got there at 6 but we were sat promptly by 6:45. We enjoyed a drink from the bar while we waited. The food was delicious. I had the seafood pasta which was filled with huge shrimp and tons of crab meat. The chargrilled oyster appetizer was out of this world. Our server was very attentive and we had 2-3 managers stop by our table during our dinner to make sure we were enjoying everything. I can’t wait to go back.

So disappointed. We went for Valentine’s Day at 6:30pm. There was no wait – should have been the first red flag. Staff were just standing around. People were dressed like they just came from the gym. We got the shrimp appetizer- literally fried shrimp DRIZZLED with buffalo sauce – embarrassing. Ordered the seafood pasta that came with a spoonful of crabmeat and maybe 8 shrimp. There was no seasoning and pool of oil in the bottom of the plate. Also ordered the catch of the day. Very dry. It came with some sautéed spinach and a few dry potatoes. Only could finish half. Got a brownie for dessert. It was meh. I guess my expectations were too high, shame on me. I was hoping for a New Orleans level dining experience, but what I got was just another subpar Baton Rouge eating hole. A divebar in Nola easily blows this place out of the water. I’ll be surprised if it lasts another year. Dont waste your money on Dragos Perkins Rowe.
