My family and I were really looking forward to coming to the Dragonfly Tea Room due to us finally all collectively having a break and wanting to enjoy a relaxing girl’s day together. However, our experience was not so enjoyable. First of all, we thoroughly checked the website to make sure we weren’t driving 30 minutes to be disappointed about needing to make reservations or call-in ahead of time to notify them that we were coming, and nowhere on the website did it say we needed to. Therefore, we walked in at around 12:00 and waited by the “please wait to be seated” sign. We were finally acknowledged by a server after around 10 minutes even though multiple servers had passed us, and the restaurant was not extensively busy at the time. Once a waitress had seated us, we were at the table for 40 minutes waiting to be acknowledged by staff. Mind you, as I said previously, it has not been super busy at this time, and every other table in the restaurant was being checked on multiple times. We were about to leave and take our business elsewhere when our server, Mckenna, finally came around and asked what we wanted. Right off the bat, her tone was not welcoming in the slightest and we were generous to her, but received nothing but attitude. When I had asked her what the soup of the day was, she responded with “we have the broccoli noodle cheddar, but the menu clearly states the salad options.” So, I chose a house salad. However, when the table behind us was seated, which was much quicker than us might I add, and also asked for the soups, they were notified of the chicken noodle soup by our waitress. Had I have known about this, I would have ordered that instead. Once we received our orders, we were there for around 45 minutes and were not once checked on by said waitress. Despite our terrible service directly, every other table, which there were only about 3 other occupied tables in the restaurant at the time, was periodically checked in on by staff. Not once was ours checked in on. Additionally, our group all ordered waters and never received those, but we couldn’t ask again either since our waitress did not come around. We left a notable tip, despite the bad service, and headed over to the gift shop to browse the teas. McKenna was in a noticeably better mood to us once she saw that a tip was left for her and, shockingly, came over quickly to then check us out. As a family, we were very excited to come here for a get-together that we rarely ever get to have, yet we were greatly disappointed and our once-in-a-great-while type of excursion was entirely ruined by the service. I can speak for all of us when I say that this restaurant had true potential but the staff completely ruined it and needs to be evaluated, Mckenna in particular. How she was hired in the first place is beyond me. We will not be coming back any time soon, but I honestly hope that this place gets the assessment it needs to be better.

Cutest place to have lunch! Especially cute place to take little ones. The atmosphere is pure whimsy and the food was presented so nicely and tasted very good! They do get busy so best to make a reservation. Great location in historical Canal Fulton!

Absolutely love this tea room. First visit today, but already planning future visits. We had 2 children in our party and they have the most delightful, whimsical child friendly room with toy high chairs for dolls, a dress up area with fancy hats and tiaras. Food and service are both exceptional. Highly recommend.

My daughter’s just love coming here even though they are teenagers now. The dishes are adorable! Out of everything that I have tried the BLT salad and strawberry pretzel salad are the best! Even though my daughter’s don’t drink tea they still get their lemonade in their tea pots! Reservations are recommended.

Patience. It was full right at the beginning. I made reservations prior to going, so we luckily were seated right away. It took a bit of time for the server to arrive at the table. Quite understandable since it was packed. No bother though, I liked sitting there admiring the teapot collection.
I loved the variety of teas that Dragonfly Tearoom carried. The server was very kind and helpful on going over the tea menu narrowing my choice to a couple of pots of tea.
While I liked my finger sandwich platter, I think I’d prefer to try their more unique items next time. I like to experience the wild side of a menu, but the finger sandwiches held well. I’ll admit I really loved the broccoli salad the most!
Their scones and tea bread was also very yummy.
If I had to be “that person” and criticize anything, it’d be the boiling water poured over the black tea. I understand the idea of the afternoon tea setting, but if one were to leave the leaves in the pot, I’d offer the customer a bit of milk/cream to help cut the bitterness…sugar can only do so much. However, I liked it fine.
I enjoyed the overall ambience of the tea room. The atmosphere was warming and the service was really well despite the crowd. I’m just happy to see a locally owned shop having so much support. I’ll be back to try the winery (and to take home some tea for the house) soon.

Loved our time in the kid’s room that’s painted with various characters. Friendly staff, delightful atmosphere, and beautiful fine china. Loved the pumpkin spice tea and broccoli cheddar soup. 11/10 recommend.

Adorable, great food, fantastic tea selection. We did the high tea, it was a ton of food. Ours included Quiche, a cup of broccoli soup, pimento sandwiches, cucumber sandwiches, chicken salad sandwiches, and desserts. We selected birthday tea and Apricot, both were good.
