Dragon Star Buffet

First time here and everything was just amazing! The services were fast and servers were very polite. The atmosphere and environment was very inviting. The food was exceptionally fresh and prawns whether coconut sauced or deep fried were thicker than any other buffet i’ve ever been to. The crawfish was on point and the flavor was authentic!!! I have never had crawfish taste this authentic Chinese since i was in Asia!!!

They get a strong 95% on 95% of their food items. Almost everything is delicious and enjoyable. The Crab Rangoon need attention and the Crab Legs must have missed their plunge into cold water after cooking because the white Crab meat was Super Glued to the shells !! Hahaha..being frozen too long will do the same thing.
But other then those two items the whole buffet ( and it’s a biggun’ ) was top notch.

I have dined here multiple times, and overall, the experience is typical of a buffet. Upon arrival, guests are seated and asked for their drink preferences before proceeding to the buffet area. During dinner hours, the restaurant can be quite busy and somewhat crowded. However, the waitstaff is attentive, efficiently clearing plates and refilling drinks.
One of the highlights is the build-your-own noodle station and freshly prepared dishes, which I have enjoyed on several occasions. The food quality is satisfactory, and the staff makes an effort to maintain cleanliness throughout the establishment. If you are craving buffet-style dining, I would recommend this restaurant.

This was a pretty good buffet with a very large selection. A lot of the food was really good but there were some items that were mushy or tasted like they had gone bad. Overall, everything was really fresh and good but the things that weren’t good were really bad. I would definitely recommend coming here as they have a ton of options, including a fresh cook area, sushi, and more. It is also a pretty good price for holiday or Sunday as it is $23.99. The service wasn’t good. Over 50% of our drink orders were messed up and they were just set on the table and we were not told what they were…. For example we ordered 1 MTN dew, 3 lemonades, 1 Diet Pepsi, 2 waters and a regular Pepsi. We received three Mountain Dew‘s, two lemonades, one water, and one regular Pepsi. My mom had to go find the waitress to get the other drinks that were ordered . When she re-ordered the diet Pepsi, we received a sweet tea so not only was it sent out as Mountain Dew the first time the second time it was also incorrect. It was very unfortunate. I think it’s worth coming at least once. I wouldn’t go too far out of your way to come though.

We went for the first time yesterday (Sunday). This place deserves 7 out of 5 stars. I have never been to a buffet that keeps all the food trays full at all times besides this one. Everything we tried was very nicely cooked. I brought my family and even my pickiest eater was happy. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. My family wants to make this an every Sunday thing. We will see you guys this weekend.

It is a casual and affordable buffet eatery. It offers a wide variety of dishes, including Chinese, Japanese, and Asian food. The food is fresh and tasty. The service is good, and the restaurant is clean with a pleasant atmosphere. Ample parking is available.

Hubs and I ate ate here on a Friday night May 2025, en route to Elko Speedway.
This is the BEST Chinese buffet I have eaten at in my whole life.
Literally, we live 45 minutes away (NW suburbs) and have discussed diving back for date night. It was That good.

We sat at a booth by the waterfall, love that ambient feature.

It was busy (expected for a Friday night) yet we didn’t have to wait for anything.
The food….mmmm….more like what you would expect at a sit down restaurant.

Ha! Maybe I’m telling on myself and have only eaten at Chinese buffets with dried out, crunchy food offerings. I digress as you won’t find that here.

Do yourself a favor and come for a meal here. You can thank me later

I’ve been here twice. Both times the facility has been extremely clean and tidy. The overhead music is a bit too loud. This place has a wide variety of food selection, the food I had was mostly was just warm and lacked a punch of flavor I’ve grown accustomed to in these buffets. Personally I would not go out of my way to eat at this establishment, as I believe there are better, tastier options out there within a 15 minute drive of my home.

Great service! Super friendly, always somebody cleaning, and can flip tables incredibly fast! I was impressed by their hard work here.
