Takeout Order was quickly prepared; 7mins. Sadly, not very hot considering it came out that fast. Should have been piping hot!!!
Even the Wonton soup was cool and it was only a 10min drive home. We had to nuke it all to get it hot.
Soup was tasty. The Chicken Chow Mein was so so; a bit bland and soft. S&S had a very nice sauce and lots of it. Though the portion size was small and the pork wasn’t crispy.
Felt like it may have been sitting around and that’s why it came out so quick.

Coming from Maple Ridge, I’m always looking for a good Chinese restaurant that’s not all the way in Vancouver. Dragon River was a pleasant surprise. The food was delicious, the portions large, and the quality of ingredients were excellent.
My first barometer of a good Chinese restaurant is their wonton soup. Both the broth and the wontons were flavorful and satisfying. I would come back just for their soup. However, ever other dish equally delighted. The vegetables are fresh and prawns are the biggest I’ve seen in a restaurant for a long time. Order the prawns and black bean sauce. You won’t regret it. The sauces are exactly what you want when ordering beef and broccoli, with large chunks of meat and crisp broccoli stalks.
I’ve come back with friends a couple of times now and the service is always friendly and efficient. My only regret is not taking pictures because I ate the food so quickly.

Really enjoy the food here. I always order to go and they are always friendly when I pick it up. I’ve tried several places locally and this one is my favourite. The only thing I haven’t liked as much is the wonton soup.

I’m Very disappointed because we ordered from here many times but on November 1 we ordered delivery and the debit machine didn’t seem to go through the first time so we tried again. After checking my account I realized I was charged twice. I contacted the restaurant and they said they only received one payment. I went to my bank and had them print off a statement with the reference numbers. They said they contacted the credit card company and that I would be reimbursed. It is now Dec 18 and I still don’t have my money back. I have been in contact with them many times and this has still not been resolved. I’m very upset as I would like my money back.

Our families favorite Chinese restaurant. Food is always excellent. They can be slow with take out orders, I find it’s best to call close to open and say what time I want to pick up. Always hot. Love that they discount if you pay cash or debit. The family that owns it are lovely and care about their customers, they always ask about our kids. Such a wonderful place in the community.
