If you want an eatery with the most modern koi pond and iridescent wall coverings, then Dragon Palace, which has a amazing 1970s era decor that is anything but modern, may not be for you.
But!!! If you want a waitstaff that remembers you even if you come in once a year and serves you with the most cordial smile and isn’t hating their job, or that has a very traditional non-microwaved American style Chinese fare, then you must try this place that has not changed much since 1972 in quality food and service.

Dirty old carpeting. Paint incomplete around entry doorway. Fish tank about 5 gallons low on water. Shows lack of attention to detail. So that explains the food. Lunch special sweet and sour chicken was pre-cooked and reheated (per waitress). Mine came way below proper temperature. The breading was soggy because it was undercooked and the chicken inside was cold and overcooked. The fried rice had nothing to do with China. I don’t even know how to explain what the flavor was. It was orange colored. The side egg roll tasted like it was “off.” I took one bite of each item and sent it back. They were kind enough to not charge for it. The hostess offered something else from the menu but my guest and I decided that it was not worth it. We went home to eat.

Just say “NO”. The food lacked flavor! Just bland, no sesonin at all. And if is listed as spicey, its not. And the fried rice, why is it electric orange? The egg roll tasted rotten. The iced tea tasted moldy.
The restaurant had few guest at peak lunch hour. I feel like the Owner has lost their passion and just doesn’t care.
Our waitress was very nice and did a wonderful job.
I didnt want to go, but my friend wanted to. Neither of us is going back.

I had the General tao’s chicken and modified it to my liking. The quality of the dish overall was good. The shortfalls include the additional ingredients that I paid for were very skimpy. The General tao’s sauce was soupy but had a good flavor. Egg rolls and egg drop soup were good.
My wife’s shrimp fried rice was fishy, and I would not recommend it. They do not offer delivery!

Service wasn’t bad staff was friendly But food was definitely not worth what I paid. I could get Panda Express for cheaper and better quality. Fried rice wasn’t even your typical fried rice wonton soup threw me off had very bright red and grayish meat The pepper steak was grey and watering and wasn’t even pleasant to look at it And after all of that, the bill was $44 some dollars severely disappointed

Just received our food and the combo fried rice tasted like styrofoam if I picked up rice from the bottom so I ate whatever was on the top. The beef fried rice had no beef idk if it’s beef flavored? That should be specified that it’s flavored with no beef. Containers should be definitely changed for plastic instead of using styrofoam. The TSO chicken came in a plastic container no issues.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
Family and I went to sit down and eat (Their is three of us) and it was so bad. We got the “lunch special” that said it was 8.50 for the dishes listed on the advertisement. My husband and I only ordered two lunch specials and decided to share with our son. My son and I got sodas ( only 1) and all of that turned out to 29.00. The lady of front didnt even give us an actual receipt either. When I asked her for receipt she just wrote it on paper. Needless to say she overcharge us for sure and the food was not good at all!!

Got two lunch specials, at under $10 a plate. You definitely get what you pay for.
The gen Ts chicken And the sweet-and-sour chicken, tasted amazingly similar.
When I asked for the check, the waitress bolted before we could get an answer whether or not there was a military discount or not.
My girl, and I actually found the utter worst place to get Chinese food at in Texas.

Tried to dine here. Was sat, had enough time to review menu and ready to order. Server too busy to acknowledge and hostess couldn’t get off her phone to provide any service. Left. Maybe 6 tables total. Server could have come by with water and said anything. Too many alternatives to not at least make eye contact with customers
