Still the best takeout Chinese in the Wheaton and Glen Ellyn area. Has been for years. It’s clean inside, food is quite good, and the service is helpful.

I tried the orange chicken and it was good. I thought the veggie egg roll was okay. They do have a few tables, but mostly do carry out. Our waitress was nice. They don’t serve hot tea. They only have cans of pop and bottles of water.

We thought $55 was a lot of money for two large entrees and a large House fried rice (pork, shrimp and chicken) but when I picked it up there was a LOT of food. The Mongolian Beef was thick and juicy and maybe the best we ever had. We didn’t really know what Empress Chicken was but we ordered it anyway (because they don’t have sweet & sour chicken). It was disappointing because we didn’t want deep fried chicken. The House rice was a lot of food and delicious. We will try Dragon 1 again and we’ll order the Mongolian Beef again!

the food was simply okay. i can’t speak to the service, as i didn’t pick the food up myself. the sweet and sour chicken was unique to me, as it seems their sauce is made in house. i was taken aback to see the pineapple floating in it, but it was a new experience at least.. i got lo mein instead of rice with the combo plate and i was a bit disappointed by it. it wasn’t as good as lo mein that I’ve had from other places and their soy sauce had a bit of a chemical taste when i put it on the noodles. it was fine, but i wouldnt eat here again.

This is my favorite Chinese food in the area due to the portion sizes and flavor. I usually order orange chicken, general taos chicken, and sweet and sour chicken. All very good. It is located in a strip mall so easy access in and out. They will deliver to GE and Lombard for sure. Not sure of other areas but worth asking. The delivery driver is always very nice. The location has 2-3 small tables so it is mostly for takeout. Last time I called in and it was ready for pickup in 20 minutes. Highly recommend.

I started going to this restaurant a year ago after picking up orders for GrubHub. The food is amazing so fresh and delicious. The knowledge personable staff is friendly, professional and prompt unlike many restaurants I’ve discovered that their food does not require any additional sauce because it is cooked perfectly. The manager told me how their food was cooked but after tasting it I was convinced sauce is not needed on their food as it is cooked perfectly!! I don’t know any other place that can say that which is why I returned to the restaurant weekly. Please visit them soon to find out just how perfectly fresh and delicious their food is!!

This has been our go-to spot for takeout Chinese for many years. For what it is, which is Chinese takeout tailored to American palates, their quality is consistently high. If you are looking for more “authentic” Asian food, look elsewhere (try Ming Hin in Naperville, Katy’s Dumplings in Westmont, etc) but for great eggrolls (house-made, I think) and other standards, I can recommend Dragon One with no hesitation.

The combo plate is a good option and value for money. This was our first time here, and we would definitely stop in again if in the area. Very limited seating, which is probably fine 99% of the time. I got the shrimp kow. Others got the beef fried rice and shrimp & Lobster sauce. Very enjoyable overall.

Tried a few places around here and I wish I tried this place sooner. The food was great and the online ordering process was excellent. I had pork fried rice, egg rolls, crab Rangoon, pot stickers, and one of the chicken entrees. Everything was delicious and a great value. I do wish there was more filling in the Rangoon but it was still tasty and fresh. My parents also liked it and we will return.
