The drive-up is also great, though service is not exactly friendly.
Occasionally the chicken is too dry, and other dishes have been hit-or-miss as well.
Important note: The lo mein is in fact horrible, as others have said. If you google lo mein you see thick golden brown noodles that are fried a bit so they have a chew. This is very different. Thin watery noodles in an odd broth, with flavorless chicken. I know lo mein varies by location and I haven’t found a truly great on in this area, but I just can’t imagine anyone enjoying this version.
Wife got the shrimp and lobster sauce. It also had grohnd beef in it, which was also flavorless and dry, in a soup. The pork fried rice was dry, flavorless, and got worse with adding soy sauce.
The shrimp toast was dry and too sweet. The gold fingers were completely bland. The teriyaki stick was ok, but would not get again.
I ended up throwing it all away, I’ve never been so disappointed in a Chinese take out. We won’t be returning
The food is acceptable though it is not the taste we are used to in Asia. Fair enough that they need to localised. The dishes for set dinner we ordered has too much fried stuff. The portions are very generous and we have to pack half of them back.
The Chinese lady who attended to us was nice and helpful. The ambience is nice too.
The older waitress we had was rude , hurried and very abrupt in speaking
The fried rice sucked.it was greasy as hell and disgusting
2 of us ordered lo mein. Nothing I’m used to .the noodles were the really thin noodles thinner than angel hair…compared to the thicker noodles I’ve gotten at many other restaurants.
These had no flavor
Do not get the chicken lo mein, flavorless and hardly any chicken
Another got Mongolian beef..swimming in their gravy, horrible..my dog would even eat it
Would never go back
The wonton soup had no onions of additional greenery in it. The broth was watery and the dumplings where so mushy they must if been from the previous day. I saw no pork on my over dry pork fried rice.
We have been eating Dragon Gate since 1989. We won’t be dining there in the future. What a shame such a good restaurant as sacrifice their quality
