Not much to add to what has been shown in that it probably won’t surprise you that i found these folks’ food to be outstanding.

Sunday evening, both the wife and i were burnt out from the day and didn’t want to cook. Never have yet ordered Asian cooking in this area though we’ve been here since the end of January, so picking a place that was actually open was out first issue. Obviously yes, they were.

So even though great ratings, we all have had to become skeptical of ratings as so many manipulate them by giving something for “free” for a good rating. No, the food was absolutely great! And given the hours having lawn machinery blaring in my ears, a very nice young man greeted me when i came in, explained that he just needed my name or phone number to locate my order and despite my having him to keep repeating himself (he spoke perfect English, the issue was all the screaming landscape machinery all day) he was absolutely polite.

Food was hot and perfectly done, even my extra spicy cashew chicken (first time order, had to start with a baseline) had a perfect amount of “extra spicy” to it and very good flavor; no scrimping whatsoever on the cashews (i’ve seen some places that treat them like gold, you are lucky to find them).

Delivery if wanted is through DoorDash and similar services. Not thrilled, but OK. Another tip.

On the website they offer online ordering. This is an excellent resource, but the site needs a little more development. There is no separate MENU area, you need to go to ORDER ONLINE whether or not you have decided. In the end this isn’t a problem as you can always cancel out, but it would feel more “normal” if there was a MENU area in which they could also place a descriptor of each entry along with a picture, price, options or CALL that area MENU and add the appropriate cited extra features.

Once one clicks ORDER ONLINE you then get to click “Start Order”. This is rather awkward and might be an issue with translation of cultural customs(?) as this “Start Order” extra step is wasted.

Next you are looking at a very bare-bones presentation. The first column on the left side is your Table of Contents which jumps you to the appropriate section.

Center vertical column names all of the selections.

On the far right you will either see a mustard yellow button with either a “+” or “OPT” in it. If it’s a “+” you are adding it to your order and if “OPT” you are opening a submenu with OPTIONS.

Besides overall aesthetic enhancements you need to remember that sometimes you need to open OPT to see different serving sizes and the pricing.

A larger “View Order” button will float at the bottom of your screen with the running total as soon as the first item is selected. From there you can review the order BUT YOU CAN’T GO BACK without clearing the cart. That needs attention for i wanted to modify an item as an afterthought but i didn’t want to erase all we had entered.

From the “View Order” screen is the “Checkout” button. At that point you either “Creat” (s/b “Create”) new account, “Sign In”, or cancel.

Now i need to go off of memory as i do not wish to actually enter an order – do not worry over finding how long you should give it before you go to pick your order up; once EVERYTHING is done they show you. This confused me as prior to showing that they ask you when you want the order “scheduled” – kind of hard to tell them when i’ll pick it up if this is meant to be ASAP and i do not know how much they are backed up, if at all; i believe it should be shown prior to payment.

So my only complaining is about “atmosphere” which is entirely suited for picking up an order, the website and delivery. As to the food, all my family thought it was outstanding!

It was good!!! Good portions and great flavor!! I did ask for extra ducksauce and she snuck those mustard packets in the bag really fast like it was duck sauce lol… Smooth..

My doughnuts could have been better but I wasn’t expecting the actual food to be that good. So they get a pass lol…

We’ve eaten here about 5 times now I think and I specifically waited to make my review until we had been a few times at least. The consistency of this place is on point, which is amazing because we’ve been trying to find a good take out place for a while now where we knew it would be good every time and this place has got it going on. Their food is amazing. This is the only place we go for Chinese food now and we even drive 40 minutes to get here it’s that good. We personally love the beef lo mein, beef and broccoli and the sesame chicken.

Food was literally inedible and nasty. We couldn’t even eat the orange chicken. It was a giant ball of fried dough that seemed really old and had a weird looking skin-like leather texture. So unappetising The beef and onions had barely any meat, all onions. The sweat sour chicken was old and again mostly dough with barely any chicken. What we did eat made us sick. I don’t see how they put this food out and think it’s ok. Would’ve taken it back because it was that bad but we were tired and it’s a long drive. We definitely won’t be going back. We will try Jackie Chen in Churchland instead.

it’s been awhile and I’ve revisited this restaurant my friend requested I pick up food for her so I ordered the shrimp egg foo yong by phone , the woman that answered the last few times is pleasant and got my order correct. Due to Covid the restaurant is closed on the inside So now you pay at the door and you aren’t able to walk into the restaurant. My egg foo yong was delicious. It’s a little less than nine dollars but it comes with a box of rice a full bowl of shrimp egg and onion mix and then another bowl of gravy. I don’t know what they put in the gravy but it tastes amazing. I will retract my previous one star review because they’ve made up for the one bad experience I had.

My husband and I eat here very often. The food is good and they give enough portions for your food worth your money. The people here are very friendly can’t say enough !

Omg the food was great. I’ve moved to this area over a year ago and was looking for a good Chinese Restaurant. Unlike the one only minutes away from me, this was reasonably priced and the food was DELICIOUS. It was fresh, it was flavorful; it was just good. I saw that they won awards for their food sometime back, might I say it’s still good. The people were friendly and the tea is oh so tasty. My 16 year old daughter felt the same. I’ll take the 12 minute drive to buy food again over the 2 minute walk for utter nastiness closer to home

I don’t normally do reviews. However, I was so glad when they opened back up. When they were closed, and we were stuck using whatever was open, let’s just say we started eating more hamburgers, and pizza on take out night. I have been all over this great country of ours, and this little restaurant has absolutely delicious food, and their staff are a delight to speak with. The gentleman that delivers is always very friendly. And you get your food quickly and still hot. You couldn’t ask for better food, better service, or a more wonderful group of people to interact with. Try it, and you’ll have a new favorite too!

The Quisine smells and tastes like the parking lot of a strip mall. It’s over where the old blockbuster used to be, and there are legit 2 parking spaces in front. 1 of them being taken by the delivery driver and the other by people who are completely able bodied parked in the handicap spot. I have witnessed this 4 times and asked the business to address this issue, and they declined. I understand they probably don’t want to get involved in parking issues that the PORTSMOUTH POLICE should be dealing with…. but with no police around, people don’t care, and I am unable to pick up dinner for my family. So if you have a hard time, especially in this heat, with mobility AVOID this restaurant and find one of the many other strip mall Chinese American food businesses with either curb side delivery or ample parking for the handicap and don’t forget to tip if they bring it out to you.
Cheers!
