The food was cooked well, the chicken and beef that we tried were tender, the broccoli crisp. There were many entrees to select from and we did see a lot of people enjoying the seafood options. The egg rolls weren’t crispy, the “fried” dumplings were steamed. It would have been nice to have more sauce options and napkins on the tables. The salads options were a bit sad. There were many dessert options, the ice cream was my favorite.
All in all, we will try Dragon Buffet again.
If you’re looking for a satisfying and budget-friendly meal, Dragon Buffet seems to be a solid choice in Plymouth.
Most of the appetizers were room temperature or only slightly warm. The spring rolls tasted strongly of cabbage and were mushy in texture. Egg rolls were not crispy but did have meat and vegetables inside. The gyoza (steamed dumplings) were tasty though and I liked the sauce, though my partner did not. Crab rangoons were okay. Chicken drumlets were tough and dry. The chicken skewers (appetizer) seemed to be deep fried and were dry.
The egg drop soup was not good. Hot and sour was better but it was also not great. Soups were very hot, which was nice.
Entrees were a mixed bag. The salmon was very good. I also enjoyed the seafood with vegetables and lo mein, though the lo mein was basically just noodles with barely any vegetables. I tried the beef and vegetables, and it had a slightly spicy flavor which was good. One of the chicken dishes was so tough and hard I couldn’t eat it.
I had a a few bites of fruit for dessert but there were also some cakes and several flavors of ice cream.
The place was clean. The music was terrible. It was an odd type of Asian electronic music that reminded me of music that might be used for circus performances. Service was okay but we had to ask for water refills. The waitress did remove empty dishes quickly.
Overall it was a decent lunch but for what it was, the price was high. Lunch was $13. I don’t know if a beverage was included or not because we always drink water.
