Absolutely love Dr. Davis ice cream! Generous servings, creamy ice cream, and I’ve never had a bad scoop. I look forward to going every time! The customer service is always great and the old time vibes leave me feeling nostalgic. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!

Exceptional Ice Cream!…Still after the many years Doc’s has been there for Us. I count the days between Winter to Spring…it’s Summer now at the time of my review, and I am once again ecstatic to indulge in my favorite hot fudge Sundae, with my favorite coffee-flavor ice cream!! THE BEST!!

I was expecting this place to be better but it’s just okay ice cream, for those lactose intolerant beware it will make you feel bloated and sluggish afterward. I tried banana it was decent. I just question the source of dairy here

I’ve been coming here for 40+ years since I was a kid growing up in the Hollis area. I now live on the NH Seacoast with kids of my own where we have great homemade ice cream. Still, I always make an effort to visit Doc Davis every year!

Pepperell’s own homemade ice cream! Been here for generations, and generations of Pepperell teens have worked here – the best of shop local! Lots of great flavors – and they make malts! As well as frappes, sundaes, and other ice cream treats.
They’ve got outdoor tables under 2 huge umbrellas, plus a single table inside.
The perfect place for a stop on the way to watch the parachuters at Pepperell Airport, or after a game at the town fields, or on a summer evening. In fact, I’m headed there right now!

Cute old place that has been making their own ice cream since the 30’s. Unlike many of these places in this area, they are not Cash Only.

I love the waffle cones and the Butter Crunch ice cream. Mocha Chip is awesome as well…actually all the flavors are fantastic! You can’t go wrong here with whatever choice you make. My husband has been coming here all his life and we still do. Our children grew up loving this place as well.

I recently moved to within 10 minutes of this ice cream stand, saw the great reviews and old time classic photos and so I gave it a try on a weeknight in June.
I love the feel of the place….very old and quaint. I was shocked at the prices given the tiny portion sizes. A “large sundae” is 2 smallish scoops and cost nearly $8!
Oh well. I got a hot fudge sundae, whipped cream, with butterscotch ice cream. The overall size is what I would expect for a small.
The whipped cream was phenomenal. The hot fudge was great. But the ice cream was absolutely without flavor. Very disappointed in the actual ice cream quality. Tillamook from Shaws is way better.
I will give it one more try, but at $8 for a smallish sundae, the ice cream needs to be great. It wasn’t.
Servers were all pleasant and service was pretty quick.
