I am writing to file a complaint about my experience at the Dairy Queen in Cookeville, Tennessee. This was one of the worst service experiences I have ever had.
We ordered two $7 meals, which come with three pieces of chicken, fries, a drink, and a sundae. From the beginning, the cashier did not listen to our order.
For drinks, we clearly asked for a Dr Pepper and a Coca-Cola, but we were given a Dr Pepper and a Mellow Yellow instead.
For the desserts, we specifically requested:
• One plain vanilla sundae
• One medium chocolate soft-serve ice cream cone
Instead, we were handed the chocolate soft-serve in a cup, which is not what we ordered. The employee then poured it into a cone, but it came out swirled with vanilla and chocolate, even though we asked for plain chocolate only. On top of that, the cone was barely filled — it looked more like the amount you would get in a small cone, not a medium.
Overall, our order was incorrect multiple times, and the employee showed no attention to detail or care in fixing the mistakes. This experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing, especially considering we paid for full meals and did not receive what we ordered.
I hope this issue is addressed so other customers do not have the same experience.

Its Dairy Queen. We love getting the good messy burgers. I wonder what would happen if management would have the associates working the drive thru go through the drive thru, give them a big nice messy burger and no napkins. Maybe then they would give you knapkins for those nice messy burgers, dont know, just a thought. Still will go back and get a burger on the go just have to remember to have knapkins on hand.

Got reheated French fries in my meal deal. When it takes 30 seconds to have your food finished, you know you are getting reheated food. Sad part is the owners were cooking in the kitchen. The Cookeville Dairy Queen can do better. Put forth the effort and stay off your cellphones.

Worst DQ around. The AC is never working, swelteringly hot inside. Just ordered a small blizzard with extra Reese’s cups, and I was given a mini with literally no Reese’s in it whatsoever.

Today would have been my mother in laws 78th birthday. She just passed away last week and before she passed she asked for a double chocolate malt from DQ here in Cookeville. With tears in our eyes as we watched her leave this earth I left ICU and headed to DQ at 10:30 to see if they could make a chocolate malt for our Mama. The manager was closing up shop when this desperate distraught daughter in law pulls up asking for this final request. The manager understood my desperate plea and said, she would be right back and returned with the double chocolate malt as requested. Upon my arrival back into ICU surrounded my all us kids and siblings we watched our mother enjoy her malt before she drew her last breath. I can’t thank enough this DQ in Cookeville for jumping on this request when she could have said “no”, could have said, “are you kidding we are closed”. But, she didn’t she delivered and we were so grateful to give our Mama her favorite treat before she crossed over.
Thank you DQ for being so kind and making us smile today as you made 6 double chocolate malts for our family today as we celebrated the greatest Mama. We love you Mama Bear. Here is our tribute to you.

Made a visit to DQ today.Ordered 3- 6 peice chicken dinners, one medium blizzard and one got fudge sunday for $47.?…and change. only to get gone and discover there was NO GRAVY IN ANY OF THE ORDERS AND THERE WASNT ENOUGH HOT FUDGE TO GET ANY IN THE SPOON!!!!!! Just a glob of vanilla ice cream!!!! You literally COULD NOT SCRAP THE SIDES AND GET ANY HOT FUDGE!!!!

Classic DQ. No frills. Our cashier was very patient with my indecisiveness. Decent portions. All fresh. Locals love it! Aged. But spotless clean. Recommend. Easy location for anything downtown.
