So I went to NH for a family trip and to get to know the area of Sanbornton as well as the local areas. This place has great view gorgeous sunset. If i ever go back i would definitely go because if the views and perhaps finger food and the live music. Chill vibe atmosphere. However, what drove me to com3 here was the amazing service and food I had at the DOX I want to say at Laconia. I had the most amazing prime rib with mash and spagragos. Mind blowing. Thought I would get this same plate before leaving back home and this was the complete opposite. I had amazing nachos at those as well and the nachos were also different. You cant have same place and have different menus it just doesnt make any sense. Over all the mosquitoes were on a thousand and they ate the living crap of legs and children as well. Its was awful and even up going back to my restort hated the way the food was served like they were serving dogs the portion was just not it. Very disappointed. They should mesh the place out and have bug lights to keep it away from food. I get they were closing but the sever looked out of it and the bill was wayyyy more that what I paid at the other DOX it was 2 hundred 50 something and it was 2 adults and 3 children not including we also tip because we always tip. Didnt even take a picture of my food and not even after I took it back to the restort it was just not it.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant for those visiting Laconia! Great views of the water, friendly service, and awesome food.
We ordered a hot chicken sandwich and a hangover burger. As well as some drinks which were amazing. Definitely try this place out!
They do get busy but you can call beforehand to make a reservation or call ahead 2 hours before you’re planning to come in.

Great food, view, and vibe!
The Manager was kind enough to take our reservation earlier in the day, where we requested a shaded outdoor table, and as the evening approached, secured a few tables for us to choose from as the sun had moved. Very considerate and accommodating!

Came for lunch so it was very quite and we had great outside seats with nice views from the outside deck. Staff was friendly. Food was good. I could see how it would be loud at night and on weekends, but thst should be expected

After eating a lot of fried food during our vacation, my Husband and I decided we needed a salad night. I ordered a Caesar salad with blackened chicken and my husband got the garden salad with fried chicken….he ruined his healthy meal with more fried food LOL. You could order a half or whole portion. We both ordered a whole. It was a very good fresh, crisp salad. I cant say it was HUGE portion for the price but it was good and we had a lakeside view so it was fine. Unfortunately, we were seated by a large party that were less than desirable…talking about their feet and toe nails. Gross. Not the restaurants fault.

We came on a Saturday night at six, and were quoted a hour. We decided to sit at the bar. The bar stools are super uncomfortable. They were too shallow, too narrow, too forward leaning. It reminded me of being on a plane, but one of those budget ones where there’s no legroom. By the end of our 2 hour(!) stay, my sciatica was hurting!
I started with a “Winni Water” which is a vodka soda. After that I switched to beer. I also had a “Lady of the Lake” and a couple of “Pulp Daddies”. They were fine. We started with a guac corn dip, which was ok. It needed salt, cilantro, seasoning of any kind.
The app came quick, the entrees took about an hour. It looked like the kitchen and bar were super disorganized. At one point the server asked us if we had our food, we said no, and she just never came back.
When I finally got my fish sandwich with coleslaw and fries, it was actually really good. The fish was flaky and warm. Fries were definitely frozen though.
My husband let me try his chicken tenders, they were delicious. They came with the same fries and an itty bitty side salad, which is $7 btw. I went to the men’s room, which is labeled “outboard”. I also saw “inboard”. There aren’t any pictures, so it took me 2 minutes to figure it out. Thank god I went into the right one.
Oberall, I think Dox is trying to be upscale with prices, but it’s average in quality.

Nice deck but the food is just okay. The pulled pork sandwich got good reviews. Fish & chips were average. Drinks are a little weak. Our server was nice. I wouldn’t go back although the lake view is awesome.

The terrace was almost empty when we arrived, yet we were told we had to wait 15 minutes for a table. So we sat right next to the empty tables, looking at them, until 15 minutes later we got a message that we could sit down. The hostess offered us a table in the sun, even though several tables in the shade were free the whole time. We pointed out a table under an umbrella that had just been vacated and said we were fine waiting for it to be cleaned.
We then waited another 20 minutes, standing near the table, but no one touched the table. After some time, someone came and half-cleared it, leaving plastic cups behind. The terrace was filling up while we kept waiting. Eventually, we sat down, hoping someone would finish cleaning soon, but nothing happened.
Another 10 minutes later the hostess came and told us to “make space,” claiming that because we were sitting there, no one was coming to clean the table. I explained that we had already been waiting a long time near the table and that no server had even approached the table to finish clearing it, which makes no sense.
After another long wait, I even offered to help clear the few stacked plastic cups, but the hostess refused and insisted that we leave the table. Only then did someone finally clean it. After that, we still had to wait several more minutes until the hostess eventually brought utensils and seated. Now calculate how much time we lost…
I have never experienced such rudeness and unprofessional behavior at a restaurant before. The only reason we stayed was because we had already wasted so much time and were hungry. As for the food it was mediocre.
I never left a 1 star review, but was a complete waste of time, patience, and money, the hostess made us feel like we were being mocked. It gave us the impression that her strategy was to make customers not want to come back. Otherwise, I can’t explain the lack of logic in the way she does her job.

It all started when we walked in. We could see one table eating and a bunch of employees walking around looking busy. It was honestly dead but it took 10 minutes to get a seat. The guy behind the bar made eye contact multiple times but did anything he possibly could to avoid seating us but finally he had no choice and seated us with an attitude.
My wife ordered scallops appetizer and no one told us until after the food came out that they were out of tartar sauce.
One son ordered a side of mac and cheese and a side of loaded tots. The side plate was 4inches by 4inches and the amount of food you got did. It even fill the plate.
The other son ordered chicken tenders and they were so dry he could not even bite through them. Awful.
I ordered the pull pork nachos and the pulled pork was burnt and dry.
$107 later and it was the worst food I have ever had.
The best part was the view. I’d avoid this place.

2 adults 3 kids. We didn’t have to wait too long (between 3-5 arcade games later, we got the text about our table being ready). The tables were all cleared when we walked up, so I appreciate the team there not rushing to sit us down if the kitchen was handling a load of tickets.
We ordered the Guac and Corn dip to start- for a spot that did not claim “authentic Mexican” it was good. A great portion and our server offered us sour cream and salsa on the side- that was a plus. The portion of guac was so large I asked for extra chips to continue enjoying even when our main entrees arrived. It was giving homemade vibes, which is great when you’re hungry- it was not some dry powder guac mix- chunks of avocado, sweet pieces of corn, onion etc. Could it have used a squeeze of lime and chopped cilantro, sure- but it was not a deal breaker.
My kids ordered a hot dog and garden salad- great size hot dog, awesome salad portion. One of the 3 ordered a cheese burger- which seemed like the exact burger as the single smash burger minus the caramelized onions and bacon and a side of Mac and cheese (also great portion).
Both adults ordered burgers too- one Downsize (only one smash burger patty) and the Dox which included 2 smash burger patties – both with cheese bacon and caramelized onions. For sides we had the house made chips, and Mac and cheese.
The only feedback I have is about the lack of flavor in the Mac and cheese. Maybe it’s a cultural thing- but a little salt and pepper probably won’t hurt anybody.
Overall no complaints. I like that there was a live musician performing cover songs with the guitar and harmonica. The view was cool, and it seemed like a laid back environment.
