I was greeted by Lady J. They make really fantastic grilled shrimp dinner plates and po-boys. The bread is fresh and soft for a well dressed sandwich. The garlic bread was great with the plate combo. Great service with a smile. Will be back when passing through Baton Rouge. Conveniently located across the Museum of Fine Arts.

Stopped in with my 3yo after visiting the museum. Got the mixed plate and everything was hot, the fish filets were huge and cooked perfectly. Perfect portions we were able to share and have leftovers to snack on later. My only complaint was how small the establishment is, it’s standing room only and seating is limited. Not uncommon for downtown establishments, everything else was exceptional.

I literally want to go back for more while writing this review! I was skeptical at first because it was a ghost town inside but I gave it a go anyway! As soon as me and my mom walked up to the counter, the cashier handed us a plate of shrimp to taste and I knew at that moment, this was a good decision. I had a huge shrimp po boy with fries and a salad. It was soo good and they even gave me an extra box of shrimp! I highly recommend!

In my opinion, this is the best restaurant downtown. This restaurant is reasonably priced and good authentic Louisiana cuisine. You can get a meal combo of fried catfish or shrimp salads, sandwiches, poboys or seafood platters for around 15$. Food is great and staff is friendly and food should check it out!

Visited this place for first time located on one of the busiest Streets in downtown Baton Rouge. I ordered the Burger and fry combo, because I’m always looking for a good burger joint; guess I’m just down-home American. This place appeared to only have two employees: a cook and cashier. The meal was nothing special, pretty much something I could done better myself at home. The fries were seasoned well. I wanted to add a salad but lettuce was not Romaine; in addition to lacking variety in toppings. Although I requested Dine-In, the meal was provided in a to-go styrofoam tray which appear to be standard. I guess this place is good for those on the go and have few options. After inquiring, I was notified that the menu provided to me was not accurate pricing so I personally made changes on sheet provided to me. This place appear to try making a quick buck for charging a “pretty penny” for simple meals. On top of that, when the cashier attempted to assist with menu; the cook interrupted her and said help him in back when the restaurant had nothing but one order. I felt this was rude and disrespectful to a customer. Also, I overheard the cook insulting a customer about whether or not it was their first time dining at that place. I will not return to this place. Not worth my money nor do I support bigotry, poor customer service and/or ill-mannered employees-people.

The fried oyster is so good. The staffs are also so nice and friendly. She gave us free samples to try (which helped a lot in decision making).

Really worth visiting to fill your hungry tummy!

Great food and lots of it for a reasonable price. The service is fast and friendly. The location is fantastic but I feel like the inside decor could be improved on to help with the overall experience.

I just wanted to write something positive about this place because it’s been a while since I’ve been there and the shift in ownership. I went there yesterday an got a bacon cheeseburger and I’m pleased to say that Downtown Seafood & Grill is back. Great burger, crispy fries, fantastic. Keep up with this quality because that was one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long, long time.

Unfortunately, I can’t give a review on the food, because I’ve been trying to call this place to order lunch & they are not only not answering the phone. I’ve called multiple times back to back. And three times they picked up the phone and hung it up. So because of poor customer service, Im giving this one star review. In addition to seeing that, their website is not updated because none of the prices are on their website match the prices of the pictures that they have online. Of course I couldn’t confirm any of the pricing because no one wants to pick up the phone.
