First time we’ve been here. All of the food was good. But the highlight was the duck gumbo and the seared salmon. They were fantastic. Server was very polite and accommodating. Will be back if I’m in Greenville around dinner time.

It was my first time ever eating there. My sister, & a few friends gave me a surprise birthday gathering there. My experience was a very good 1. The hostess, servers, & entire staff were great! The food was the bomb/magnificent. They had live entertainment who acknowledge, & dedicate a song to me for my birthday. I felt warm & fuzzy behind all of that. My friend took time out of their busy schedule to take me to a place like this, it was like déjà vu living in California again eating at a bistro. I really enjoyed myself & I will be back.

Welp, I said I wouldn’t be returning here. But my brother wanted to go and offered to pay, so I was in lol! I was hoping for a better food experience, but I have to leave my rating at 3 stars. Let me start by saying that the service was great! We made reservations and our table was ready (with water on it) when we arrived. Our waitress was excellent. She was knowledgeable about the menu and very personable. The booth that we sat in was a bit tight and cramped. There were only 3 of us, so I can’t imagine how 4 people would make it work.

Now on to the food. They give you complimentary rolls. At initial sight, I thought they were burnt…but in actuality, they were perfect with a hint of sweetness. The accompanying garlic butter sauce made them even better. We ended up getting more rolls when the food came and they were not as brown as the first ones and not as good either. We started with the Fried Oysters Melanie and Shrimp & Jalapeno Poppers as appetizers. They were both decent and the shrimp in the poppers were really fresh. For my entrée, I had the Shrimp and Grits. The grits had great flavor and texture, the andouille sausage was tasty, but the shrimp was a letdown. The whole dish sat in a pool of grease. By this point we were full, so we ordered the White Chocolate Bread Pudding to go. The bread pudding was bland and the white chocolate sauce was really watery and lacking flavor.

To sum things up, the food is average at best. That’s not a bad thing, but for the price, it’s not worth it. If this place were to move their price point down some, I would probably visit regularly.

I wanted to like this place, but unfortunately that was not the case. Downtown Grille serves Louisiana type fare. However, I live in New Orleans (but Greenville is home) and the food did not meet the mark. I ordered the crawfish Mac & cheese and it was terrible. I had to add salt and pepper to add additional flavor to the cheese sauce. The crawfish were plenty, but their flavor was no-existent. It was gross. I also ordered the hot tamale boudin bites. They were pretty good, but something weird was in one of them and that was a turnoff. I also ordered 2 drinks. They were good, but the bartender went heavy on the ice. I requested light ice on the 2nd and still received a glass full of ice. The other individual ordered the potato crusted salmon. The salmon had no flavor and the cheese grits were basic. I could have made better at home. Overall, I spent $100 for 2 people to eat and there wasn’t nothing fantastic about this meal. I won’t be returning.

Came here for dinner while driving the Blues trail. Absolutely excellent experience. Staff was super friendly and efficient. Food was excellent. Drinks were delicious. Restaurant was spacious and comfortable. I got the Honey Bee cocktail and the hot chicken sandwich, and they were delicious, highly recommend.

Totally worth it! The downtown area is very quiet, and many places look closed and/or deserted… However this place is totally worth a stop. The service is very friendly and nice The lamb kabobs melt in your mouth – as does the beef of the Poutine fries (highly recommended). We also had the deviled eggs (not pictured here) and they were absolutely delicious.

Just arrived Greenville, and picked this great spot for lunch. The chef salad made with spring mix and homemade blue cheese dressing was excellent. Decor is cool, old meets new, comfy booths, great natural light and Petty style tunes.

Server invited me to stay a while to get some work done, even though the kitchen closed at 2. Nice people!

I had a great time eating here. Finally my first favorite spot in Mississippi that has great tasty food. I have been to the middle of the state and south of the state. I really appreciate the servers and the chef.

I ordered two dishes. They were the lobster and corn soup and the blackened catfish with crawfish sauce. Both dishes were delicious. I was this close to not order the soup but I am happy that I ordered it.

The lobster and corn soup was amazing. It was well seasoned. Everything was well cooked. The taste was well balance. I enjoyed how the chunks of lobster was cooked. It was tender enough to chew. Not chewing enough to make you chew for hours. Just well balance.

My secondary dish, is the blackened catfish with crawfish sauce with rice. The fish was well blackened and cooked throughout. The crawfish sauce is complimentary to the catfish. Both taste amazing and was season perfectly.

I only hope to have received more rice lol.

Overall, it was a great experience!
