Husband and I are in love with this restaurant. First of all, they’re the only place in town that can make a French 75. Second, every establishment here in Austin has nice people, but I feel like the staff at Downtown Grill are also genuinely caring, not just doing a job. Thirdly, everything we ordered was at expert level on the foodie scale, minus the pretension. We will definitely be back as often as our going-out fund allows!

New favorite place to eat in town! My burger was one of the best I have had in a hot minute and the chicken wild rice soup was amazing. As well as a nice clean patio. Can’t wait to come back.

I ordered a burger and fries for lunch. The waiter said he would bring the meal 1 business down the same block, as soon as it was done, to save me a few minutes of waiting. An hour later, he still hadn’t brought it. I asked someone to cover my shift so I could check in the order I bought. When I walked into the restaurant, the main waitress/ bartender was loudly yelling at the other waitress. Main bartender followed up by bad mouthing her help as soon as she went to serve a customer, in front of a group of customers. When my food came up, the fries were rubbery and cold, and he said the order had been ready for a while, but he didn’t have time to bring it to me….. overall an extremely disappointing visit.

This place is awesome, it looks awesome and the food is incredible. Every appetizer, side, STEAKS! they’re carefully prepared and you can taste it. It’s in the high budget but It’s definitely worth it!. Only reservations until they officially open.

I really like the atmosphere, and the waitress was on her game. But the food could have been a bit better the fries were soggy and I had a steak sandwich with a very thin piece of steak. My friend had chicken sandwich and her chicken was really dry. Also waited 45 minutes at least for our food. But the fried green beans were sooooo good!

5 STARS!! I have food allergies and when I told the waiter they made sure everything was prepared properly. The owner came to our table to let me know he called the chef at home to confirm the Cajun Seasoning was GF! I said no dairy and they let me know their baked potato was rubbed in butter. HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Walleye!! FRESH AND GRILLED PERFECTLY. atmosphere is on point and so was the service. Will defintily return!

My husband and I were just in this evening to celebrate our anniversary, and the staff was very attentive, and the food was delicious. I had the Walleye, and my husband had the Monte Cristo sandwich. Thank you for making it a great night.
