Ordered the chicken tenders and fries. Fries were really well seasoned and crispy. The chicken was unoriginal and may have been frozen. It was okay.

I cant say enough good things about Downtown Diner! The country fried steak and egg breakfast taste like its fresh out of grandmas kitchen. You can tell they use the best ingredients and cook from scratch. The biscuits and gravy were just as satisfying. The servers are super friendly and give great recommendations. The diner is clean and has a cozy vibe to it. Props to the solo cook for always delivering great food without long waits! Highlyy recommend trying them out youll definitely be back!

We stopped at the Downtown Diner while visiting Tawas City in late September. It was so wonderful, we went back the next morning. Our breakfasts were served fast, hot, and delicious. The French toast and Greek omelet are so good. Customer service was personable and welcoming!! Please visit if you are in the area. If you live near this restaurant, you are lucky. What a gem!

Thier fish baskets and onion rings are delicious. Their fried food is crispy and not soft and greasy. Lunches take about 10mins. Staff are very friendly. Have never had a bad experience there. I wish they were open later
