My wife and I were sitting on the beach and could smell an intoxicating BBQ smoke smell, but we didn’t know where it was coming from. She Googled local BBQ places and Downtown Bethany Blues came up. We walked here from the Beach and did not even wait for a seat. The food was absolutely outstanding! We started with the Brisket Cheesesteak Egg Rolls. Good god were they good! I had the Cuban special and she had the BBQ Tacos (with Carolina pulled pork). If you are a bourbon/whiskey fan; you are in luck, their bar has just about everything. One of the employees was cool enough to tell me about all the rare bourbons they have available. Very reasonable prices. It was so good, and filling, that we bagged our dinner plans and stayed home.

I truly, truly appreciate how the entire staff came together to accommodate my shellfish allergy. It was nothing like I’ve ever experienced with any other restaurant. Everyone from the waitress, to the manager, to the chef came to speak to me to discuss my allergy and the severity of it. The manager also went above and beyond for me, suggesting an alternative way of preparing my food in order to avoid potential cross contamination. Beyond that, which was certainly worth five stars within itself – the food was EXCELLENT. My love and I got the BBQ sampler with collard greens (OMGGGGGG) and the garlic mashed potatoes (EVEN MORE OMG). My love also for the brisket cheesesteak eggrolls which she enjoyed (I couldn’t have any because of my allergy) and I had Buffalo smoked wings. We also had the bourbon flight which was great! I will definitely be returning. I enjoyed everything about my experience. Thank you everyone for being so considerate, thoughtful, and kind! Eating out with an allergy is scary, and you all helped me be much less anxious!

Excellent bbq along with top-notch service. We were able to be seated immediately for an early dinner without a reservation but recommend a reservation. My biggest problem was deciding which entree to order since everything sounded good. I ended up with the brisket burnt ends sandwich special and was not disappointed. The cornbread was a very tasty start to the meal, and the pretzel appetizer was good. There’s 3 different bbq sauces at the table so you can customize your meal to your liking. Will definitely be returning to try more things on the menu.

Really solid BBQ joint! Our recent bbq adventures and the many great reviews had us really looking forward to the experience. The brisket egg rolls were phenomenal! Hands down best bite we had. Great crispy texture on the outside, and a soft, meaty, luscious inside packed with flavor! The Delmarva chicken was juicy and tender and had great flavor. The brisket was super tender, to the point it was just falling apart when trying to eat it! Just a bit on the dry side and not as juicy as I would have liked, but still very good! The coleslaw was ok, a lot better when we mixed it with the mustard sauce. Collard greens were good and flavorful, and bbq potato salad was a nice surprise.
Great friendly service all around as well! The manager was really nice in treating us to a round of drinks while we waited out a sudden downpour of rain to pass by. Great hospitality and homey environment perfect fit for Rehoboth.

Bethany Blues is a gem near Rehoboth Beach. They have live music & its clean family friendly atmosphere. The pulled chicken sandwich, BBQ beans, collard greens, shrimp, corn bread & mac n cheese were beyond delicious. The smokey sauce & spicey sauce BBQ were excellent as well. Highly recommend.

Accepted our reservation to include Open Table $40 doing credit – online receipt given- but refused to honor it when the check came. “Oh, we don’t accept them here, only our other location.”. I emailed a few days later: different manager stated server was wrong, gave us a gift card to equal the reward dollars lost”. The food is very good, we are happy to go back.

Great bbq food with great sauces. The brisket is definitely the highlight. Portion sizes are big and the sides are tasty. Good selection of drinks including local beers. Excellent service too. Would definitely recommend.

So grateful this joint popped up on my recommendations! The brisket was melt in your mouth tender, the green beans and coleslaw perfectly seasoned, and the mac and cheese was unpretentious. Loved both Smokey and spicy sauces, and the portions were generous! Can’t wait for my next visit
