I took a few people to dinner on a Friday nite at 925 on 8th Street. I personally have never had worse food at any restaurant…I tasted each dish that was served and didn’t take a second bite. The others in my party were equally disappointed with thier food. The dishes weren’t washed properly and the server had no personality. He didn’t check on us during the meal and looked like he hadn’t bathed in weeks. I can honestly say, the only thing I had that was acceptable was the glass of water (minus the lipstick stain on the rim) Do your self a favor and don’t waste your time or money…hundreds of dollars spent to have the worst dining experience of my 63 year old life. Culvers would have been a much better option. I am surprised this place is even in business. Whoever is in charge has failed miserably. I am shocked that they have any positive reviews…these people were either paid to lie, relatives of the owners or have some type of vested interest. I wouldn’t go back there if they comped dinner for me and 50 of my friends…very poor excuse of a restaurant and a slap in the face to the previous owners

Food is way overpriced. For me there wasn’t any real appeal to the place. It looks fine but the quality and price make it not a place I’d go back. They should have focused on quality and price of food instead of looks.

We just left and I can assure you we won’t be back. Not that they would care. They’ll just give a generic response to this review to show the public they care. It’s not genuine. I was excited to give this place a chance. Especially having the bar set high from Rupps. We both ordered the Prime Rib dinner. We just sat down with our salads and our dinner came at the same time. It came with French fries as we were not offered any other choice of potato. However, the table next to us had a choice of the baked potato, mashed and rice. Why weren’t we given this option? I ordered my prime rib medium and it was served rare. I never make a ruckus at restaurants because I was a waitress for many, many years. I know the business can be tough, however, that doesn’t excuse the time we just experienced nor the insane bill. I was hoping they’d offer a discount considering my main meal was pretty much nonexistent. The waitor said no, unfortunately we can’t do that. We asked to speak to the manager, so she came over quietly. She was very polite and seemingly understanding. I told her everything I was upset about, but I remained overly empathetic from my own experience as a waitress. I said I was shocked to see the $97 meal when I only ate a small salad. I also said why wouldn’t you at least take $20 off? Well, that’s exactly what they gave. Any restaurant I worked at would’ve comped the entire meal if not just one order. However, this place is more concerned about shoving fake smiles up your butt than providing the impeccable food they promise. I dismissed the other poor reviews and remained hopeful. I won’t make that mistake again.
The only thing comforting was the Christmas Tree. Happy fricken Valentines Day to us.

Salad bar very good variety and fresh. Went for Friday fish. Cod was tender and tasty. Drinks excellent including my ice cream Charlie Brown. Server was perfect. The host Sam, excellent job. Atmosphere better than ever. Upstairs loft finished for lounging. I plan to come back next week for a jazz trio. Other live music with variety is coming. 925 is much improved from its opening and getting better. Well worth a visit.

1) my beer was cold
Yep, that’s it! I frequently dine out on a weekly basis and this experience was horrendous to say the least. My advice to anyone that may be thinking of eating here. “DON’T!”

We had a party of eight and it was very disappointing three out of the four $40 prime rib. Dinners were served cold and the potatoes and vegetables were so overcooked. You could hardly tell what they were one person ordered chicken and we were told they dropped it in the kitchen, so they ordered a burger medium. It came out so overcooked it couldn’t be digested. The soup was wonderful salad bar was over emphasize that you only got one go at it which you wouldn’t need more than that it was a very limited salad. Bar service was wonderful, but I would pass on this restaurant.
