Requested bagels to be toasted but they weren’t. They were still delicious but probably would’ve been amazing warm. Coffee was not tasty. Tomato pie was delicious per my daughter, but I feel like you should ask before giving a corner piece. There was barely any tomato with the tomato pie. Other baked goods we got were good. Unsure if I would go again. Maybe to try a toasted/warm bagel. Love that they were made from sourdough. Parking was on the street but not too challenging to find. Barely any wait inside. Cute inside with a few tables available to eat in. Love that patrons had the option to compost their trash when appropriate 🙂

This is easily one of our favorite spots on Germantown Ave! Incredible people work here. Amazing bread. Out-of-this-world pastries every morning. Sometimes they’ll do specials (apple cider donuts have been my favorite), and you’ll need to get there early to scoop them up, which is only a true testament to how incredible their bakery is! We have loved this spot since it opened. If you’re anywhere near Philly, this is an absolute must to stop into! You’ll be going back again & again!

Love this bakery! A favorite place to meet up with friends and enjoy a bagel/pastry etc. The people who work there are super nice…It is cute and sunny inside, lots of tables. As a vegetarian, love that it is vegetarian 🙂 A highlight for me: I love bahn mi and I had the best bahn mi here once! Also love the bagels. Highly recommend.

Get there right at 9 when they open, order one of their little personal banana breads and feel the seasonal depression melt away. My god. Sometimes a really amazing baked good reminds you that life is worth living, and this is one of those baked goods. Still warm, perfectly sweet with a delicately crunchy, caramelized top. Gorgeous.

Obsessed with Downtime. What a wonderful addition to the neighborhood, and Philadelphia at large. Really incredible people offering fantastically delicious baked goods. The sandwiches are my favorite part!!! In a town full of hoagies, I love that I found somewhere to get a crispy, chewy focaccia sandwich with something pickled and a fancy cheese on it. I only dock two stars for atmosphere because the lack of outdoor seating is a major bummer at an otherwise perfect spot.

10:30 am for a loaf of focaccia, fresh from the oven, that will haunt your dreams. Maybe a lifetime-best bite? Everything they make with marzipan is also wonderful; and that’s from a marzipan lover.

Our neighborhood welcomed this addition with open arms. The sandwiches they make are amazing. Unfortunately you have to arrive at just the right time to snag one (between 11-12). Hours are limited for a bakery and sometimes they close during normal business hours. I assume they prioritize a happy and stable workforce rather than customer demand, which is respectable.

Love the vibes in here, warm and cozy with fresh baked goods coming out of the oven as you walk in. EVERYTHING is delicious, during our visit we tried a just out of the oven warm baguette (although a little different than the traditional baguette, more dense, still so so good), mince pies, bagels (preferred sesame over everything), filled brioche buns (so good I attempted to recreate them and failed), and a few of the cookies (LOVED the ginger molasses). Our toddler even tried everything. Couldn’t resist buying some of the cute merch too. Everyone was pleasant including the fellow patrons, definitely stop by.

If you like swooning while you eat food, look no further. Every bite=perfection. I had the best muffin that was fall personified. Tomato pie? Fire. Chewy, crispy, tangy, spicy goodness. My standards are extremely high, and Downtime Bakery earns every one of those 5 stars. Thank you for the joy!

Incredible baked goods and onderful service. I had a slice of pear pie with a crumble on top and it was SO good. The drip coffee on the other hand… barely acceptable. Stick with espresso based drinks.
