This place is legit delicious… Get off the highway and get the barbecue from the food truck next-door… Get the beans get the slaw, the pickles and the onions. Try all three sauces, then finish it off with the banana bread pudding.! Little gastronomical delight here in the New Castle near the burning mtn! Owner is a broncos fan, which led me me to tip more! The beer barn is a hip, magical remodel on a n old Texaco station with cool tea/ hot bevy options, a hip staff and championship names for the brews.. put it in google maps and pull over for the spot… it’s groovy.

Stopped here during a blizzard and we were the only ones in here. It is in an old Texaco station that is all nicely redone. It was nice and cozy inside. Beer choices were good. We got pretzels which was a standard pretzel with mustard and cheese sauce, nothing really special. Was starving so it hit the spot. Other folks eventually rolled in and they got burritos which looked good. Great service while we were there. They also had a football game on. There is a bunch of board games to play as well. The restrooms were dedicated individual restrooms and they were both very clean. It was well worth the stop on the way home.

Awesome! We had the Down Valley Trash light lager and Pillow Line Pale Ale. Both fantastic beers!
They have a full bar with fancy mixed cocktails, full coffee bar, BBQ food truck, lots of baked goods, and breakfast burritos. The atmosphere is awesome, clean, and the people are super friendly. The outdoor patio is amazing and dog& kid friendly! Can’t wait to come back and try more! Must stop when traveling in the area.

Stopped by for a short while to shake off the wariness from driving.
Was very pleased with this place. It’s fairly new and located inside the old Texaco gas station.
The ambiance is fantastic and the place is dog friendly. Staff was great.
Beers could use a bit of tweaking but still delicious.
Would definitely return.

Coffee, Lattes, baked goods, and music in a fly shop?!?!
Who does this?
I had the best Latte (so far) in CO at this fine establishment. And the flies are priced for normal humans. My flies and Latte cost less than 3 streamers would cost in the Roaring Fork Valley!! The owners live in town and are incredibly nice. This is a must stop if you will be fishing or love coffee! I drove over an hour to stop here, and it was well worth it. (Note: if you are in need of specific fly gear, maybe call in advance and see if they have it. They are not as stocked as some of the purist fly shops, but even so, make a stop for the Espresso Drinks, and you’re sure to find some gear and flies you need too).

Drove past twice before I found it as they have a huge old Texaco sign and then really small actual signage :/ Walked in at 4:30 on a Saturday and was completely ignored, there were only 3 customers inside, that’s OK as I wasn’t going to buy any $12 or $14 draft beers. Dissapointed.

Great beer and cool atmosphere with the coffee shop. We tried the Hazy IPA and the blueberry wheat, both amazing! We sat both inside and out, and both felt comfortable and welcoming. The staff were so friendly! We also got the Burning Mountain BBQ. We tried the full rack of ribs, coleslaw, and beans. No joke, best BBQ! This place is a perfect stop while you’re in New Castle!
