Had lunch there on Tue. Catch of the day was flounder. Ordered a fried fish basket. I don’t know what day they caught the flounder but it was so tough it couldn’t be cut with a knife and fork. Accompanying french fries were limp and undercooked. I cannot recommend this restaurant. This was an experience not worth repeating.

The food was so good! The fish dip was smoky but not overbearing. The shrimp and scallop pasta was out of this world. The shrimp reminded me of succulent lobster. The only thing I would knock would be the beer and wine is served in disposable plastic cups and don’t keep beer cold.

The place is nice, we got good service and the food was delicious. Our waitress made suggestions and explained the menu in great detail, she was always aware of our table. Oh the bathrooms were clean and nicely designed.

Down the hatch had delicious food & tasty drinks! The music, food, service, and views are 5 star. We arrived on our boat and were greeted by “Curly” the dock attendant who assisted in tying our boat off and helping us ashore. Go see Jacky and Matthew at the bar! They are super friendly and helpful by recommending drinks and food that hit the spot. We highly recommend you check it out!

Really cool place. Food is excellent. Had a crab cake at the bar and blackened flounder a few hours later after a boat tour. Bartender and waiter were both great. Highly recommend!

Been going to DTH since the 80s & yesterday, brought my 9yo there for dinner after climbing Ponce Inlet lighthouse, only 5 minute drive away. Fish of the day was Flounder, which I chose for my entree, fried. FOTD is 8oz with choice of blackened, grilled, broiled or fried. FOTD Flounder was $25 yet there’s another Flounder entree where you get 1# fried, same sides for $21. Entrees come with garden salad & choice of several sides. I definitely recommend the garlic mash pots. Flounder was fried perfect but fish was dry and a bit too flaky for me to fork after 2-3 bites. Took leftovers home to make fish dip. 9yo got their traditional burger cooked medium rare, which was cooked to perfection. Comes with cheese, lettuce, tomato. He says it was the best burger he’s had all week.

I ate at Down the Hatch with a large group. They can easily seat large groups inside or outside. I have food allergies and they were very accommodating. The waitress seemed a bit flustered with our group but we had a lot of people requesting lots of different drinks and food. She was kind and took my food allergy card back to the chef. I had grilled chicken and a salad. The strawberry yogurt dressing looks delicious and is a unique offering at restaurants in the area. Great place to watch the sunset!

Great place to have dinner – love the views – the breeze – salt air – food is good ! Service can take a bit if it’s busy but hey with a view who cares. Music was nice not to overpowering – prime rib special on Friday and Saturdays however they were out by 730 which was a bummer !! But it look nice and big and everyone said it tasted great !

You have to try the “Parmesan smoked” oysters!! My new favorite. Great service from Justin who was fast and professional. There is a wait up to an hour on a Saturday night…but with seafood this good it’s expected. The pagers worked down on the dock so we sat on the boat and like clock work were paged when our table was ready. You might see Salty Bean the cat who belongs to Mr. Stein wandering around. This was a great dinner for my friends 28th Anniversary.

Down the Hatch is a fantastic treasure tucked away on the water in Ponce Inlet, FL. Literally, the end of the road, er ummmmmmmm, Water. There is indoor/outdoor dining. Indoor has A/C and is beautifully decorated with everything ocean and the beach. Huge bar stocked with anything you want. Cathedral ceilings, making it a grand affair. Nice little gift shop inside as well…
