I’m very disappointed with the quality of both the service and the food I received. I waited over 15 minutes at the drive-through before getting my order, and when I did, it looked like the bananas and nuts had just been tossed on top of the waffle. The waffle itself was hard and overcooked, and to make matters worse, they forgot to include any syrup. I used to come here often for breakfast and lunch, but this will be the last time I spend my money here. I’ll also be letting others know about this poor experience. It’s a real shame—this used to be a great place to eat.

We love Down Home Grill! All of their staff are so lovely and attentive. The food is great and they are conscious of pricing for everyone with their “inflation menu” that has lower priced options. They also have a lot of Gluten Free options, which is so rare, and they take anyone with any type of allergy/dietary restriction very seriously. Love this place.

Great lil foodie hangout! This grill has a large variety of tasty dishes running the gamut of options. The decor is shabby-shic-Americana, with several tables, including a large ’community-style’ option. Great mix of clientele from the nearby college, to those serving in the varied local shops and professional service locals.
The items were well prepared, delivered to the table in a prompt a courteous manner, all at reasonable prices.

I usually really like their food. But last time I noticed a lot of liquid coming out of the fried mushrooms. More than before. So this time I go in and I ask for the mushrooms but to please make sure there’s less moisture. I leave and find out they gave me cauliflower instead. I have to drive back to exchange it. And look at all the brown water I’m squeezing out of one mushroom… sorry if the feedback wasn’t appreciated. I just won’t order this dish from you guys again. Came back to add a second picture of all the water that wasn’t drained.

– Fries were overcooked as well

I understand that lunchtime rush but this is unacceptable. It’s a bummer because here I am doing an online order for what I know to be some of the best tenders out here, and this is what I get. Money wasted and no lunch.

Overall I had a good experience, Great little breakfast place with good customer service and good customer ambience as well.
The portions served are very decent and the presentation very appealing. The only reason I did not give a five star review was because the meat on my plate lacked flavor.
So if anything I would suggest to the kitchen staff/Chef, To pay attention to this matter. Other than this I do recommend this place and I will come back myself again.

The food and service here has recently gone down hill. My family and I have something from
here at least once a week. It’s the better food option health wise and variety wise.
The lack of consistency is upsetting. I originally thought it was a time of day thing because that happens when you have different cooks. Then the customer service took a decline. I don’t get it. We tip and don’t ever dine inside.
Breakfast burritos – the size is tiny almost like a microwave burrito some days and other days it’s regular size (what you expect.
The breakfast burritos are either bone dry and no flavor or just right. So, it must be whoever those cooks are.
3 times in a row we get 4 salsas for 2 breakfast burritos. I go the 4th time and they say “it’s one per burrito” and they’ll charge for any additional sauces. We’ve probably had 20 breakfast burritos in the last two months and never have we been charged for sauce.
The same thing has happened with chicken strips, bowls, and salads. If you allow one sauce per item that’s fine, and I don’t care about paying.
It’s the consistency. Sometimes it’s like food can’t possibly come from down home. One day it’s not an issue a the next day it is.
I love to support small businesses and I really hope things get better because our food options in the High Desert are not great.
