Up from Savannah GA, and we find a good Southern diner! LoL. Food was excellent and everyone was very friendly. I had The Barnyard Breakfast with a side of pork sausage (highly recommend!) and my beautiful companion had apple raisin oatmeal, warm cider, and cheese grits (!) Best part — Great (Southern hospitality-like) happy service (Kaitlynn)! Right in the Reading Market and still value-priced. Very relaxing breakfast after an early morning flight.

For the first time in my life I tried a Peanuts & Soda. Which is a Coca Cola with peanuts. It was sweet and salty. I liked it. The food was really good, and our waitress Blake was great. She was really nice, quick and gave great recommendations. We will be back.

I have come to this diner 3 times now. The food is delicious, and the customer service is excellent. Marley and Justin are such sweethearts. They’re not only attentive, but they’re extremely pleasant. The staff overall is wonderful. Based on what you get, it can be between $10 – $30 per person. The quality and quantity is definitely worth the price. I’m so glad I found such a gem.

The Down Home Diner was a hit for our family of 5. The kids had chocolate moo. While hubby and I had orange juice. My husband had the southern omelet. I had the barnyard breakfast with cherry jam for my biscuit. Soooo yummy! Our daughter had the Carmel apple French toast. She said it was absolutely amazing! Prices were very reasonable. Only $89 for the 5 of us. The market was cool…we walked around that for a few minutes. Lots of options to shop.

Another great place to dine in Market street philadelphia. Enjoyed with family. They have several delicious items to enjoy. It’s a bit crowded at times especially on weekends.

We came here from out of town for the cheesesteaks and oh boy! We were not disappointed!! The bread is excellent and the meat well seasoned which makes for an excellent sandwich. The mac & cheese reminded me of my childhood. We will definitely come again.
