So far have just ordered on Fridays but we really love the lake Perch fry, fried cod, and when they do a special. The crab cakes were very tasty.
Some of their specials, they post on Facebook what they will be for that day.
Crab cakes 2 with creole sauce.
Almond crusted walleye with a lemon basil vinaigrette.
Ribeye & shrimp with a garlic lobster cream.
Mushroom & swiss cheesesteak.
Shrimp & crab linguine with a lobster cream.
Steak fajita wrap with steak, pico de Gallo, pinto beans, poblano lime slaw & cheddar.
Grilled pork chops topped with brandy, apples, onions & bacon.
Family style 8pc fried chicken dinner with mashed potatoes, gravy and broccoli.
Saturday we will have prime rib
soup:broccoli cheese
soup: vegetable beef
soup: Mahi & shrimp chowder
treats: brownie sundae, chocolate hazelnut torte, turtle ice cream cake, peanut butter pie, and either strawberry, raspberry or turtle cheesecake.

Fantastic food!! Have not been disappointed in 5 visits so far during Covid. Have not dined in yet but have done pickup and curbside. Their sirloin and shrimp are so good as is their turtle cheesecake. Our new favorite for Friday fish as well. Try it! You won’t be sorry.

First time here. Got carryout for four of us. Steak, perch and pork chop. Also crab cakes as an appetizer. Pork chops were just ok. Everything else was very good. Crab cakes were some of the best I’ve ever had and the price was 1/3 less than most other places. We will definitely be going back.

I had the grilled Shrimp and it was excellent. Last night I had the prime rib and it had a lot of Gristle. I ordered Med Rare but I think I should have ordered Med. Maybe it would have been easier to eat. I still say the grilled shrimp was the greatest.

Wonderful meal! Deep fried cod dinner and calamari and twice baked potato bites for appetizer. Staff is very friendly. Tables are more than 6 feet apart. Process are very friendly also!

The food is always great at Down Home Cookhouse. Tonight my grandson and I went out for dinner for our monthly “date night “. Tonight Tyler not only tried the calamari but liked it so much he has decided that he only wants to eat here every time we go out.

we each had the 8oz Black Angus Sirloin Steak cooked med-rare. Both we done to perfection with sauted onions and mushrooms. The waitress recommended asparagus as a side which wasn’t the menu. A steak like this could easily go for twice the price in Madison.

I had pork chops and gravy and my wife had the salmon. Both meals were great. For dessert I had the cheesecake, soooooo good and my wife had the peanut butter pie and loved it as well, Go and try!

Absolutely terrible customer service. The manager is rude and makes fun and jokes about his clients being upset. Food isnt good. Sky rocket prices for McDonald’s quality food. Long long wait times. Full of excuses every single time. Oh, did I mention the rude as hell manager? I’ll be calling the BBB as well as other calls. This is NOT how an owner acts towards someone who wanted to support their business. I have all the proof i need. Even though you deleted your post. Thanks for showing your true colors. You lost another customer. I’m so glad I dont support this garbage.
