We make it a point to stop here when we head Up North! A great restaurant with even better food. Atmosphere is enjoyable and headed out for a hike before or after makes the day awesome. Grab a fishing pole while you wait to get seated and they give you a buzzer to enjoy some time outside! The gift shop across the road makes it for a great day!

The place to eat when you stay in the park. After our walk, we went in and waited about 10 minutes for our table. Nothing special about the decor, since we know where we are. A limited menu, we ordered an IPA and a German Blonde, they satisfied our thirst. My wife liked her Ruben and I got the BBQ Brisket w tots. A decent meal and friendly & efficient service from McKinzie. The best part is that our table is right by the window with the view of Lake Itasca and the hummingbird feeders.

My family has been going to Itasca State Park and Douglas Lodge Restaurant annually for 40+ years. The restaurant is a definite stop while visiting the beautiful park. Everyone needs to at least try a cup of the Wild Rice Soup and make it a priority to get a Blueberry Malt. The malt is shareable with a couple people and it never disappoints. The historic restaurant and lodge is perfectly situated in the woods right next to Lake Itasca.

We visited over the 4th of July weekend. After a morning of hiking, we stopped in for lunch around 2:00 p.m. We were immediately seated at a window table and had prompt and friendly service. We found both the appetizers and main meals. Fantastic! The chicken wild rice was very good as was the walleye appetizer and the french fries to share. We would definitely stop again if we were in the park.

Stopped in for lunch on Sunday and we were seated right away. Amazing view from the table looking out into the woods and to the lake. Service was also great our waitress was over right away with menus and to get our drinks. The food did not disappoint either i ordered the big ox burger which was very good and fries were a seasoned fry that were good. Food came out fast and hot. Will definitely go back again!

Tasty food with some unique offerings. Service was fast and friendly. Cheese Curds were deep fried and some were more breading than cheese but tasted good. Brisket Sandwich was good overall but not a lot of BBQ flavor. My wife had the BLT but ordered it on the cranberry bread. She said it was a good combo and slight sweetness of the bread offset the spicy mayo well.

Had a great overall experience going to Douglas Lodge. First of all, our server Mckenzie was super nice and funny. Secondly, food came out hot and quick. Third, the food itself was overall really good. Fourth, the food was even reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone around the Itasca area.
