The service does slightly need improvement, because they kinda forgot about the iced latte. They also thought that I wanted 2 malasadas when I wanted one.
The Ube Coconut tastes really good. I like when they added Ube cake piece I believe. The main issue is the iced latte I ordered. For some reason, it tastes weird. Not sure if it’s because of the espresso or the whole milk? If it’s because of whole milk, it tends to rotten quicker than oatmilk. Maybe I could have substituted with that instead. I’ve never tasted iced latte that unusual out of all the cafes I’ve been through.
Other than that, everything is good. Honestly, I would give this place a higher rating if it wasn’t for the latte.
We got the ube, birthday cake, and salted egg donuts as well as an iced sesame latte and a hot honeycomb latte. Highly recommend the donuts: if you want sweet, then birthday cake with peach compote is the way, but if you’re looking for more traditional Asian flavors without it being too sweet, the other two are perfect. I am a massive fan of the honeycomb latte as well – they drop in an actual honeycomb and the drink isn’t too sweet. Even though it’s a little pricey, it’s worth it!
-orange latte: very enjoyable, reminded me of the latte from camel coffee in SoCal (now rebranded as Handel’s)
-gochujang caramel cookie: love the slight spice and the texture
-charcuterie board malassada: such a unique flavor. The cream cheese was slightly sweet and the fig and walnut added a nice texture. Was a risk ordering this unique flavor but no regrets and will definitely want to try other flavors next time.
-guava basque cheesecake: must order!
Very glad we were able to visit at least once during our trip. Will definitely recommend and visit again next time around!
The pastries are pillowy soft, filled with brilliant artisanal cremes that have amazing flavors! My favorites are Tiramisu, Ube, Mango, and Matcha. The seasonal Pumpkin Pecan was also incredible.
I stopped by again for a smaller order of two dozen preorder and Ken and Mei personally greeted me with so much warmth and gratitude. I got to try the black sesame latte which was so yummy! Overall, this bakery is a must-try. Definitely worth the time and cost to experience.
need to try their other menu items some time
