Double Zero is one of my favourite independent spots in the city centre. They offer a real and authentic Neapolitan Pizza experience, and the prices are super reasonable too, given the quality. It’s located just off Market Street on Spring Gardens. You turn at Primark, walk straight for a minute or two, and it’s on your left.
They offer gluten-free pizzas with a £2 surcharge, although there is an allergen disclaimer for coeliacs and those who suffer from cross-contamination. They made me aware multiple times that, because of the shared oven, they can’t guarantee it will be 100% gluten-free. I decided to go ahead anyway, as I wouldn’t have expected them to use a seperate oven anyway, and they do try and be careful, which is all you can reasonably ask for, but I did feel more assured in a way that the staff were aware about allergies and knew what they were doing, the disclaimer was even printed on my receipt!
The vibes inside are pretty cool. I visited at dinner time, and it was very busy, but despite this, the staff were still very friendly, and the service was quick. With the open kitchen and design around the restaurant, I liked it a lot, but I do feel they could have done with a larger space, just because of how popular it was.
I went for the Sempliciotta, which was really good. The salami was of great quality, and the Parmigiano added extra flavour and truly elevated the dish to one of the best pizzas I’ve had in the city. Everything came to £14, which again is cheaper than my usual spots for a better pizza too, win-win.
Double Zero is for sure becoming a fast favourite of mine, with good vibes, friendly service, fair prices and great pizza, I’m already planning my next visit!

I called earlier to reserve a table for two, and they kindly confirmed they would hold it for me. When I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and guided to my table right away. The service was fast — I received the menu quickly, and the food was served promptly, which I really appreciated.
However, there was one concern. I noticed one of the waitresses handling the cheese with her bare hand, without wearing gloves, and placing it directly on the pizza. This raised a hygiene issue that I believe should be addressed.
Overall, the hospitality and service were excellent, but I hope the restaurant pays more attention to food-handling hygiene in the future.

The Arancini was slightly burnt underneath, but it was nice apart from that. The Genovese Pizza was delicious with a pesto base.
They are a little tight with the dips, it would have been nice if they filled the cup more with the dip.
Overall, it’s a nice Pizza restaurant.

Had a great experience here! We ordered the Caciocavallo and the Miele Sizzler pizzas — both were absolutely delicious. The flavors were well balanced, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the crust was perfectly done!

Went here for a pizza on Christmas eve. Have to say, bit of a mixed experience, mostly good though. The food was very good, nice pizzas. The atmosphere was good and the staff were nice, but it was the manager who kinda killed our experience. He was just a bit rude, when he took us to our tables, it seemed like a chore and like he didn’t want us there. This wasn’t just us, I saw him do it to other customers too. Shame as the rest of the staff were nice!

Possibly one of my favourite Neapolitan pizza places, the Formaggio is delicious and very filling. Liking the variety of toppings too. The Tiramisu dessert is probably the best I’ve had at a restaurant.

Came on a busy Saturday in January for my husbands birthday pre-theatre. Food was delicious. Sat by the barman (Juse?) / bar area, he was SUPER attentive and friendly and made the experience with delicious cocktail recommendations, making for a more unique experience vs “similar” pizza places in Manchester.

We had a fantastic experience at Double Zero Pizza. Even though we arrived without a booking, Michel kindly found a table for us and made sure we were looked after the entire time. The service was attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish.
The food was absolutely incredible — easily 5-star quality. Every dish was fresh, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. Combined with the excellent service, it made for a really memorable visit.
A huge thank you to Michel for going above and beyond to accommodate us. 5-star food and 5-star service — we’ll definitely be back!

Visited here for the first time on Wed 25th Feb 2026. One of the best pizzas ive had, it was absolutely amazing and the Nduja Aioli was superb. I will deffo be back the next time I visit Manchester.

Wow! Very impressed! The pizza was amazing and incredibly fresh. The service was fantastic and welcoming. I felt the atmosphere was just right too, lively but also relaxed as you could comfortably enjoy a conversation without needing to shout.
The pizza was also extremely well priced, excellent value for money. Highly recommended! Would go again!
