Went during restaurant week. We got there early and grabbed a drink at the bar while waiting for our table. All the drinks were made well and tasted great. The hostess let us know that turnover time was longer than expected downstairs and we could wait or grab a table upstairs. We decided to wait another 10 minutes and a table had opened up. While the upstairs was modern and lovely downstairs had a moody vibe and we were thankful we waited. Our server was attentive and helpful with picking items. Restaurant week requires the entire party to pick the same items but with so many small plates everyone is able to pick items and enjoy. Each item was wonderful. We each had our favorites, mine was the duck scrapple bao and my friends was the waygu bavette. I would absolutely go back to try other menu items.

Heard about this place from a friend, I thought I wasn’t into sushi but this place makes me want to come back and try more. I ate downstairs and it was definitely a dim/moody vibe. The service was great and quick. The only thing I didn’t care for the Japanese friend chicken, it needed a bit more flavor to me, but the sauce it was served with was good. They had this soft serve ice cream that was mixed caramel and vanilla, I wish it was more than what they give for $10! The rose knot and alpine knot drinks were really good!

First time at double knot after being a fan of Sampan. The vibe really made you feel like you took a jet elsewhere and not in Philadelphia. Food came out fast with attentive service, great saki. Small bites so great friends and try a bunch of stuff. Some high lists for me was definitely the wagyu soup dumplings, toro, fried chicken, and the miso ice cream.

So this is a late review!! We came here last year for my birthday! We got the tasting menu and ordered a whole bunch of items which were all so so delicious! The only item I didn’t love was the duck…it just was not what I expected, there was probably nothing wrong with the dish, it just wasn’t for me. The rest of the food was so good, me and my sister want to go back! We also got little soft serve ice creams for my birthday and that was so sweet.

Tonight was more than just a meal. It was an experience I’ll truly remember. I came in for a solo date, for restaurant week, hoping for a quiet, peaceful night, but I left feeling so full in every way. The warmth, kindness, and genuine care I received meant more to me than words can express. A huge thank you to Da’Mya and to Madison for taking such incredible care of me. You both made me feel seen, welcomed, and so loved. It’s rare to find service that touches your heart, but tonight did exactly that. I’m so grateful, and I’ll absolutely be back ✨

My 8th time coming here and every single time it is outstanding. Breonna and Jordan are fabulous waiters and make the experience so lovely. Cynthia the manager always checks in on tables. From the sea bass, truffle fried rice, robatayaki, to their simple salmon avocado roll – you can not “order wrong” at Double Knot. Hands down my favorite restaurant in Philadelphia, Jean-Georges should be ashamed to be in the vicinity. If you’re on the fence – Double Knot is a MUST.

My first time here and I loved it! The only thing is the seatings are sooooo closed to each other it feels really tight. We decided to have a seat at the love chair for a more intimate happy hour experience even though it’s besides the restroom but it didn’t bother us. The prices were reasonable and I love how if you have a seat at a happy hour table you can also order from their standard menu. Let’s take a deep dive on everything I tried. The love knot cocktail was sooo good it reminded me of a lemon drop. The shrimp tacos were really gooooood. The edamame dumpling was my absolute favorite because I loveeeee truffle flavor. The shrimp tempura was good as well I just wish there was spicy mayo we could’ve add on top, the spicy tuna was spicyyyyy but flavorful and delicious! The tuna crispy rice was another one of my favorites I love the two textures together of the crispy rice and spicy tuna. The oysters was another good one it had a burst of spicy flavor with a nice buttery taste to the oyster. & to end my meal I finished off with a cocktail I forgot the name of it but it was a similar taste to the rose cocktail but a little more sour. All in all our server Olivia was amazing the service was top tier, food was delicious for happy hour prices! Another thing I would like to add is I collect matches from restaurants that I’ve tried and this restaurant was the only one on this block that did not have any.

Amazing food, service and atmosphere. Everything was perfect and enjoyable. I rally had a great night and will definitely be back for more. It’s perfect for a date night or a friends night out. Not kid friendly and not wheelchair accessible.

The new year had to begin with a bang, so on the very first Friday we chose this renowned Japanese restaurant to satisfy our craving for authentic Japanese cuisine. Every single dish felt like a work of art, showcasing remarkable creativity and attention to detail.
Beyond the food, the warmth with which everything was served truly stood out—the hospitality was exceptional. We placed complete trust in our server’s recommendations, and he curated the perfect selection for us.
Highly recommended.
