They say it’s all local, we got some aged smash burgers and fries, the burgers were great!
I don’t really like coated fries, but I was happy to hear that they were fried in beef tallow (or pork fat if they have it, they told me). It’s definitely healthier for us instead of the vegetable fats which turn carcinogenic at high temperatures.
We also bought some flat iron steaks to bring home and are about to grill them in a few minutes here, I can’t wait! 🙂
The bathrooms and restaurant itself were very clean, and what I saw of the kitchen area was as well.

Custom meat order of beef ribs for smoking. The left fat cap had a discoloration that when render tasted inedible (pictured). Right however produced some incredible ribs that I was very happy with.

The food was good, but portions pretty small for the price. Also the food was only just okay.
If I’m paying ~$20 for a burger with no sides I would expect it to be a pretty good size burger and be pretty amazing, it was small and just “not bad”, little dry, nothing to write home about though. I went there with two other people and we all good different burgers, same experience. Again, not bad, decent flavor, but not $20 good. Combine that with the fact that it’s mostly self-service, definitely not worth the price. Get yourself a frugal burger for 1/3 the price and call it good.

We absolutely love double k and have been loyal customers since they opened their location in Missoula. We love their lunch, cuts of meat, and atmosphere. The front of staff has always been exceptionally kind and helpful with top notch customer service. Unfortunately the women up front was extremely rude and condescending when I ordered “loaded fries” she argued over and over that it wasn’t on the menu and made me pull up my phone to show the Facebook post that showed a photo of their loaded fries with a caption that said “ask for our smothered fries our front out house is happy to oblige!”
She continued to be condescending and snapped at me that she had no idea because I was saying it wrong. It was extremely uncomfortable and awkward.
We would have walked out if we weren’t already really hungry and looking forward to our meal. We won’t be back for awhile unfortunately.

I ordered the braised beef sandwich because the clerk recommended it. She was so right on, because this sandwich was amazing. Perfect combination between tender meat and crispy bread. Also, make room for fries because using beef Tallow does make all the difference.

I both eat here and order custom cuts from here often. In particular, I love ordering meats for doing Korean BBQ nights and hot pot. This selection from left to right is pork belly, pork shoulder, beef ribeye, and lamb shoulder. They slice it beautifully thin and package it in 1/4lb vacuum sealed packages exactly how I ask them too, which allows me to have a full Korean BBQ/hot pot night with maybe 30 minutes of prep time total. The meat is of impeccable quality, the service is incredible.
As for the deli itself, I think they easily have the best french fries in town. I’d love it if they had their own seasoning mix that could optionally go on the fries. Their specials are creative and delicious and their burgers are fantastic.
5/5, I’ve been a regular customer of them since they opened and have never once had a negative experience.

I visited like a year ago because I went to Samar Asian market and they were right next door. I bought some steaks that were great!
Went back because it was so nice, got some salami & lamb.
This time I vowed to try their food (meals). I bought the steak frites, Sirloin & french fries seasoned & covered in feta & some kind of hot pepper oil. You’ll see the description in the photos.
Oh yeah don’t forget to buy a “Nut Sack”.

Service was great, folks were nice. Ordered the steak frites after being told what they were out of. Cooked well but half was inedible. Very fatty and very tough. Looked like small pieces of skirt steak cut the wrong direction. Chewed and chewed and eventually spat in the waste receptacle. The cat, however really enjoyed what we couldn’t chew. $32 with a tip for fries and sauces, more or less.

Was thinking about trying some food here but according to the reviews it looks like it’s not anything special besides the meat being local and dry aged. Very pricey at $12-20 for JUST a burger or sandwich, no sides.
Ryan is their ‘manager’ He should be managing popularity contests instead of work environments.
