This is a no-frills casual dining establishment. If you want pretty good food at a really great price this is the place to be. Not much in the way of atmosphere, and nothing I had was amazing, but it was all good. And that’s rare these days. The best thing about the establishment was the price. Some of the most affordable prices I’ve seen for causal dining in some time, and serving sizes were more than adequate. All the fried food we had was fried well and came out great. The chicken salad had really good chicken in it. The burger was done well also. The tables, when pushed against the wall, feel a little small for a party of four. On the whole, it was a very good experience.

We had a fabulous experience! The food. was better than delicious; it was scrumptious!!! Mark and I had the catfish. Outstanding. The coleslaw was excellent. Everyone was more than pleased with their order. There were 8 of us ranging from 5 to above 50. lol. We were terrible to our waitress. Having been a waitress myself, years ago. I actually felt kind of bad., because Tara would go get something and come back and then a couple more of our group needed something else. Tara gave us great service, and in spite of us, she kept a smile on her face. Definitely go back again. If you are anywhere near Eldon, MO., don’t forget to drop in. You will be glad.you did!!!!

My husband and I were on our way home from the Lake and stopped in at Double J’s for breakfast. We were extremely happy with our eggs that were cooked to perfection, our hash browns that were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the ham was so good, hot & flavorful! And the coffee was excellent, hot and kept full by our very friendly & attentive waitress. Would highly recommend! Wish I’d gotten some pie to go. Will definitely be back next time we’re in Eldon!

This is my first time here. The service was great. I ordered the breakfast special and it was good. Plenty of food on the plate don’t have anything negative to say. Price was on par with most places I go . But again couldn’t be happier with the service. I got coffee quick and they kept it full while I was there until I said no more. So at this moment I would recommend it.

The ambiance isn’t fancy but the food and service are FANTASTIC. If you’re in Eldon, you owe it to yourself to try it out. I always try the brisket everywhere I go and it doesn’t disappoint. My wife got the catfish and it was excellent. Save room for pie because it is to die for.

We got a crispy chicken sandwich with loaded waffle fries. I’ll start with dang that’s a lot of food! My daughter and I could have shared one.
It was soooooo good! The chicken was crunchy on the outside and juicy and perfectly cooked inside. I got mine with all the toppings and something that stood out is the tomatoes actually had flavor!
The waffle fries were crispy on the outside but soft on the inside so it had that perfect crunch, not to mention they used real bacon on top not bacon bits which is a huge plus!
The staff was friendly and helpful! And the restaurant itself has a small town diner vibe. 10 out of 10 will be returning!!

I had the pick 3 sampler with pulled pork, brisket and ribs. I had fries and baked beans on the side. The Brisket was just a touch on the dry side, but the flavor was good…. very typical of what I expect. The ribs were served sauced. They had a unique flavor I’ve never tasted before… it wasn’t bad. The smoke flavor was very mild… similar to what yous get from a pellet smoker. The same can be said with the pulled pork. It was served with sauce mixed in. I prefer my sauce on the side… but it was ok. The baked beans reminded me of Bush’s baked beans. If you like Bush’s you’ll be satisfied. Overall I’ve had better, and I’ve had worse. Everything I had was cooked well, and it wasn’t bad.

Their food is absolutely amazing. I haven’t had brisket since I lived in tx and it’s been over 3 years. We will be going back..and don’t get me started on the pie either.
