It was recommended to me to try this place while I was in town working. The person who recommended told me how amazing the chicken fried steak was, so that’s what I had and it did not disappoint. It was hot fresh and very tasty. The staff was great very welcoming and friendly. I will come back when I return to the area again.

We came to Victoria for a baseball game on Saturday. The game was delayed due to rain and we decided to try this local spot!! I got the chicken strip/steak strip combo and it was good. Nothing beats home made steak and chicken strips. My daughter got the fried shrimp and WOW! Talk about delicious! The tartar sauce gave long john silver vibes which I don’t mind because like it! The sweet tea was so good. The employees were nice and offered up suggestions since we were first timers! Definitely recommend.

Found got around the time to make a visit to Double J and must admit, the meal was pretty good. That fried pork chop was just like back home, and the onion rings were pretty tasty as well. The banana pudding could use a touch more improvement, but overall well worth the visit

Interesting 1st time experience, our family was looking for something different for dinner. So we called in an order, 3 burgers with fries, onion rings, and sweet potato fries, a chicken fried steak with mash and a salad. It’ll be ready in 15 minutes or so… Left the house to go pick up, “we stay roughly in the center of town” arriving we noticed “they have a drive thru” we got in line with only 1 car in front of us. Waited our turn, pulling up to the window the young lady asks, “name of the order please” we give our name and she replies, “im sorry what name” we repeated ourselves , she says one sec please….. Comes back to the window and asks what the order was, so we told her 3 burgers plus chicken fried steak… She looked puzzled, “just a minute plz” she said… Returning to the window shes perplexed and says out loud “is there an impostor?” We laughed and said “huh?” She then tells us the vehicle in front of us said the same name paid and took our order we were like “no way” this has never happened, after a little more back and forth and us informing the young lady that its our first time, she said they are going to remake the entire order for us if we could wait and park in front at cone 1. We parked and decided to grab a tea, they would not let us pay for the tea and repeatedly apologized to us for the confusion. No big deal we both said… Got our order “freshly made” and headed home laughing it up about the miss hap… Sitting down to eat the entire family tore it up. Food was “as promised” fantastic! I highly recommend Double J Eatery, not only is the food good but the customer service is by far above the best. Thank you to all the young ladies who helped us and thank you to the cooks for doing it twice. Y’all are the best and we will definitely be back.

We usually eat in, but we did takeout this time. Did CF steak and hamburgers (5 total). My order was brought out to my car. Meals were still warm and absolutely delicious! From start to finish, a great experience!

This is the best chicken fried steak I’ve ever had tender, juicy, freshly made and fast. Fortunately for me the owner is a very nice person because I can’t have a lot of pepper. The owner didn’t miss a beat ,he overheard my husband and I talking and quickly came over and offered to make me one with no pepper. My husband also had a double cheeseburger and fries and again very delicious and fresh . Matter of fact so delicious I didn’t get a picture because he ate it so fast. We travel all over and this is the best place we have stopped. Everything is fresh and by the way the tea is phenomenal. We will definitely be coming back and I highly recommend. A nice weekend stop on the way to the beach.
