The essential goal of a Chinese meal is to attain the harmony of taste, texture, aroma and color by balancing the principles of FAN and T’SAI foods. FAN foods include rice, noodles, grains and dumplings. Vegetables, meat, poultry and seafood are T’SAI foods. All of our meals are prepared with the goal of attaining this balance. Only the very best of these ingredients find their way into our kitchen. Each dish is prepared to order and no MSG is allowed. All of our menu items are available for dine in or carry out. We invite you to experience a double blend of happiness: Chinese cuisine and American Hospitality.

The portions were so generous. Our server and everyone working here were friendly and attentive. The General Tso chicken and chicken with broccoli were perfect, as were the spring rolls with dipping sauce. We wanted to try the desserts, but had no room. A cozy, clean and relaxing place. We had such a lovely first visit here, we will return. Excited to try the other dishes!

Absolutely dynamite! This was a random choice as my mom and I had never eaten here before, but we trusted Google maps and was not disappointed. They were very busy but still have very courteous service, knowledgeable staff, and easily accommodating special requests. It was so good, I had one serving to dine in and ordered takeaway for later. Options for vegetarians and gluten free eaters were clearly marked as well. Absolutely coming back for the scallion pancake, veggie dumplings, and red bean paste buns soon! Also, my fortune cookie hilariously told of my past and future together. Love this place; I WILL be making the 1 hour drive JUST for good Chinese food in the future.

This place is phenomenal. The food is excellent and so is the service. Ask for James! He is a great guy who truly cares about the food, service and the people! The beef in oyster sauce and the Dry Wok Chicken are out of this world. 10/10

“it was good” -a 4 yr old. When we first saw the restaurant I was a bit nervous because of the outside, but inside is Asian inspired decor and it’s very cozy, like your dining in someone’s living room. We came on a busy afternoon, however the wait was only 15 minutes. We ordered Moo shu duck, chicken lily black bean, pan fried chicken dumplings, the peach buns, and sesame red bean balls. Service was timely, and everything was flavorful, not over done, and served piping hot and delicious. For dessert the children shared a lychee I’ve cream, they gave it a 10/10. We did enjoy ourselves fully.

Four of us dined here last night (25 January 2025). I ate here once before for lunch, but never wrote a review. I don’t even remember what I had.
The place was full, but we had reservations. The interior had a nice Asian vibe. There’s a separate room with low tables.
Jalyn was our waitress. She was very nice and quite professional at her job.
The menu has a good variety of dishes to choose from. Jalyn brought us each a small plate of edamame and picked carrots/cucumbers. That was a nice start to our meal.
My husband and I ordered the shrimp with Chinese chives pot stickers (quantity of six), which came with a dipping sauce (probably soy sauce rice vinegar, sesame oil, etc) and a hot chili sauce. They were excellent!! My friends ordered the spring rolls, which they really enjoyed.
For my entrée, I had the firecracker chicken along with brown rice. This came with celery, carrots, baby corn, straw mushroom and water chestnuts in a Sichuan red chili pepper sauce. The chicken pieces were breaded and stir-fried.
My husband had the Sichuan eggplant dish, (with brown rice) which included onions and scallions. He added pork, but felt there was very little of it in the dish. He also stated it was not spicy at all.
Our friends had the General Tso’s chicken and one of the pork dishes. The entrée portions for all four dishes were huge! We had leftovers.
Overall a very good place for Chinese food. We’ll be back. I want to try some of the dim sum and other items on the menu.

First time there. Seated immediately. Sat at the low tables…fun and unique experience. Three of us ordered dumplings and spring rolls(best spring roll we’ve ever had). Ants climbing a tree and sesame chicken as well. So yummy, fresh and hot. Two meals was more than enough for the three of us. Highly recommended!

Beautiful location and truly amazing service. The staff was welcoming and warm throughout my entire time there. They were kind when answering questions about the menu due to allergies. They checked on my table regularly and our cups were only empty for a few minutes.

Double happiness is a Wilmington classic for a reason. A beautiful atmosphere great food as well as good service Weare. Highlights of my lunch here. The Wok Chicken. (With no jalapeños.) is pictured below and was very good. The spring roll and it’s accompanying dipping sauce was also very good.

I went with a group from work for the first time the other day and was pleasantly surprised. Plenty of menu options with out being to much to read, each item had a great description and the food was fantastic. I will be back and bringing my husband with me.

Service was good, staff were kind, food portions were smaller for the price, not really like a traditional Chinese restaurant where portions are “family style” portions.
My biggest double disappointment was the Crispy Duck. $33 was the market price and it was dry, burnt, and basically freezer burnt. My kids ate it anyway since they were hungry but it was not worth the price and they should take it off of the menu. Just don’t offer it if it’s not quality.
